* Michael Fortier, Timothy McVeigh's co-conspirator, lived in Kingman from the age of seven.

Elohim City security director Andreas Strassmeir was a known associate of Timothy McVeigh's ( having met him at a Tulsa gun show ), and federal investigators determined that McVeigh had made a phone call to Elohim City on April 5, 1995, just two weeks prior to the Oklahoma City bombing ( although no one at Elohim City claims to have spoken with him ).

Timothy McVeigh's sister, Jennifer, also claimed he had been one of the participants in several, unspecified bank robberies.

While at the time the news media paid little attention to Victor Feguer or his execution, Timothy McVeigh's execution sparked renewed media interest in Feguer.

In 1971, she would appear in a movie written by fellow blacklist member, Dalton Trumbo ( whom Kirk Douglas had gotten back on the screen with Spartacus ), in the movie Johnny Got His Gun, playing the mother of Timothy Bottoms.

McVeigh's criterion for potential attack sites was that the target should house at least two of three federal law-enforcement agencies: the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ( ATF ), the Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ), or the Drug Enforcement Administration ( DEA ).

McVeigh's original plan had been to detonate the bomb at 11: 00 am CST, but at dawn on April 19, 1995, he decided instead to destroy the building at 9: 00 am CST.

Investigators discovered incriminating evidence at his home: ammonium nitrate and blasting caps, the electric drill used to drill out the locks at the quarry, books on bomb-making, a copy of Hunter ( a 1989 novel by William Luther Pierce, the founder and chairman of the white nationalist National Alliance ) and a hand-drawn map of downtown Oklahoma City, on which was marked the Murrah Building and the spot where McVeigh's getaway car was hidden.

In April 2010, Joseph Hartzler, the prosecutor at McVeigh's trial, questioned how he could have decided to pass over a prior target building because of an included florist shop but at the Murrah building not "... notice that there's a child day-care center there, that there was a credit union there and a Social Security office?

Working at a lakeside campground near McVeigh's old Army post, he and Nichols constructed an ANNM explosive device mounted in the back of a rented Ryder truck.

" McVeigh's IQ was assessed at 126.

The search turned up blasting caps, detonating cords, ground ammonium nitrate, barrels made of plastic similar to fragments found at the bombing site, 33 firearms, anti-government warfare literature, a receipt for ammonium nitrate fertilizer with McVeigh's fingerprints on it, a telephone credit card that McVeigh had used when he was shopping for bomb making equipment, and a hand-drawn map of downtown Oklahoma City.

McVeigh's co-conspirator, Terry Nichols, is currently serving a life sentence at ADX.
