By this point, the network was split into three programming blocks: Playhouse Disney, comprising shows aimed at preschoolers ; Vault Disney, featuring classic Disney material such as Zorro, The Mickey Mouse Club, the Walt Disney anthology television series, older television specials and features such as The Love Bug ; and the most distinct one, running from afternoon to late evening for teenagers, called Zoog Disney ( which was introduced in August 1998, shortly after the Toon Disney cable channel was launched ), that used anthropomorphic robot-like characters with human voices called " Zoogs " as its hosts.

From September 2001 to August 2002, the entire Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon and primetime lineup was branded as " Zoog Weekendz ".

After the premiere on Zoog Disney in 2000, Disney received many complaints about a shot in which Dimitri licks his lips while looking at the family dog, presumably because he was interested in feasting on it.

The Proud Family is an American animated television series that ran on Disney Channel from September 15, 2001 to August 19, 2005.

A Limited Issue came out on DVD November 9, 1999, followed by on August 1, 2000, a re-issue to VHS and DVD as part of the Walt Disney Gold Classic Collection.

But in August 2010, Disney XD stopped airing the show for unknown reasons.
