Abdul Alhazred is a fictional character created by American horror writer H. P. Lovecraft.

The name Abdul Alhazred is a pseudonym that Lovecraft created in his youth, which he took on after reading 1001 Arabian Nights at the age of about five.

Abdul is a common Arabic name component ( but never a name by itself ; additionally the ending-ul and the beginning Al-are redundant ), but Alhazred may allude to Hazard, a pun on the book's destructive and dangerous nature, or a reference to Lovecraft's ancestors by that name.

Abdul Alhazred is not a real Arabic name, and seems to contain the Arabic definite article morpheme al-twice in a row ( anomalous in terms of Arabic grammar ).

A reference to the " Mad Arab " in Cthulhu Mythos fiction is invariably a synonym for Abdul Alhazred.

" The character Snake says it was written by Abdul Alhazred and was said to be one of the books used in the creation of the Necronomicon.

In a passage attributed to the Necronomicon of Abdul Alhazred, Derleth writes:

Mordack was the " friend " ( according to Cassima ) and master of the former Vizier of the Green Isles, Abdul Alhazred Through his relationship with Alhazred, Mordack was able to meet Cassima, princess of that land.

Mordack is not specifically stated to be a member of the Society of the Black Cloak within KQ6, but is connected to both Shadrack and the Abdul Alhazred via a letter ( he is also connected to the Vizier via a few lines in KQ5 ).

Converted to Islam by Ibn Abdul Hamid, a Sufi Bukharan sayyid and sheikh of the Yasavi order, Öz Beg assumed the throne upon the death of his uncle Tokhta in January 1313 with the help of the former Khans ' vizier Temur Qutlugh and of Bulaghan ( or Bayalun ) khatun.

In effect, this makes the Saudi monarchy elective within the House of Saud, as the king's eldest son has not become Crown Prince since the death of King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud in 1953.

From 1928 to 1932, the new Khuzam Palace was built as the new residence of King Abdul Aziz in Jeddah.
