Alexander was born as son of the King Casimir IV Jagiellon of Poland and Elisabeth Habsburg of Hungary, daughter of the King Albert of Hungary.

The first of these groups was formed in a wood outside Milan by three noble Milanese, Alexander Grivelli, Antonio Petrasancta, and Albert Besuzzi, who were joined by others, including some priests.

Ten years later, Alexander Friedmann, a Russian cosmologist and mathematician, derived the Friedmann equations from Albert Einstein's equations of general relativity, showing that the Universe might be expanding in contrast to the static Universe model advocated by Einstein at that time.

Their attempts to treat humans failed because of insufficient volumes of penicillin ( the first patient treated was Reserve Constable Albert Alexander ), but they proved it harmless and effective on mice.

In 1962 the molecular biologist Alexander Rich, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, had posited much the same idea in an article he contributed to a volume issued in honor of Nobel-laureate physiologist Albert Szent-Györgyi.

Christian X ( Christian Carl Frederik Albert Alexander Vilhelm ) ( 26 September 1870 – 20 April 1947 ) was King of Denmark from 1912 to 1947 and the only King of Iceland, between 1918 and 1944.

His son Constantine Alexander Ionides left his collection of Old Masters to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
