In 2011, Goldberg was announced as one of four great Israeli poets who would appear on Israel's currency ( together with Rachel Bluwstein, Shaul Tchernichovsky, and Natan Alterman ).

Also in 2008, Alterman published a lengthy essay in the New Yorker on the decline of American newspapers and the future role of new media news sites.

The well-known Israeli poet Nathan Alterman wrote a poem about Benjamin of Tudela, which was set to music by Naomi Shemer and was often heard on the Israeli radio.

An extreme example is the song " Eliphelet ": to a halting melody in a minor key by Sasha Argov, the song ( lyrics by Natan Alterman ) tells of a boy " without a penny's worth of character ", who is killed in combat for an unthinking error of judgment.
