On 5 December 2004 Air Polonia ceased operations due to financial difficulties.

Air Polonia was created in 2001 and quickly gained popularity.

In January 2005, it was announced that Air Polonia was planning to resume operations with three Boeing 737-400s, but as of December 2011 it has yet to do this.

The only way to fly to Ascension is to fly with the RAF via RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, England on an overnight charter, operated ( as of September 2010 ) by an Air Seychelles Boeing 767-300ER.

Eventually services to Australia were operated with a Boeing 737-400 configured with 128 economy seats and 12 business class seats ( wet leased from Air Nauru on behalf of Norfolk Air Express ).

Norfolk Jet Express provided services from Norfolk Island to Brisbane and Sydney using the Air Nauru Boeing 737-400 and Alliance Airlines Fokker F100 aircraft and to Auckland at one stage.

The aircraft fleet firstly consisted of just one single Bae 146-100 then progressed to a Fokker F100 ( wet leased from Alliance Airlines ) and a Boeing 737-400 ( leased from Air Nauru )

The former Air Horizons fleet was formed by Boeing 737-300, Boeing 737-400, Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 757-200.

On March 10, 2008, an Adam Air Boeing 737-400 aircraft flying from Jakarta to Batam skidded 75 metres off the end of the runway while landing in Batam.

Bhoja Air have indefinitely suspended operations since 29 May on orders by CAA for not meeting criteria of minimum three operational aircraft in their fleet, at the time Bhoja were only operating one Boeing 737-200 with a 737-400 stored at Karachi airport, this aircraft has since been controversially transferred to Shaheen Air and repainted in their livery.
