While the Bhaalspawn Saga was originally developed exclusively by BioWare for the Personal Computer, in 2012 Atari revealed that Beamdog and Overhaul Games would remake the games in HD.

The series was revived in 2012 with the announcement of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, an HD remake of the original Baldur's Gate using an enhanced Infinity Engine.

Creat Studios released an enhanced remake for PlayStation 3 called Digger HD.

On January 31, 2011, Oddworld Inhabitants confirmed that a HD remake of Abe's Oddysee is being developed by UK studio Just Add Water.

In August 2012, Oddworld Inhabitants announced a competition where the public could submit a title name for the remake that emphasises the game's introduction to the 2. 5D / HD world.

A remake of the game was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 titled Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

There are plans to remake this game in HD after bringing Postal III to consoles once RWS gathers enough money.

In November 2011, it was announced that the game was being released on the Android and iOS platforms with an HD remake of the game.

An enhanced remake, entitled Super Stardust HD, was released in 2007 for the PlayStation 3, and another entitled Super Stardust Portable has been released for the PlayStation Portable and is available to download from the European and US PlayStation Store.

On June 12, 2008 Intel demonstrated a special version of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, titled Quake Wars: Ray Traced, using ray tracing for rendering, running in basic HD ( 720p ) resolution.

On April 11, 2007, Vivid Entertainment Group began including the original Debbie Does Dallas with a new release titled Debbie Does Dallas ... Again in DVD, Blu-ray, and HD DVD formats.

In 2008, Capcom released a downloadable online version titled Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, featuring 1080 pixel high definition graphics ( compared with the original 224 pixel ) and a rebalanced roster, based on the source code from Super Street Fighter II X for Matching Service for Dreamcast.

The Xbox version is not compatible with the Xbox's successor, the Xbox 360, but a high definition version titled Alien Hominid HD was released on Xbox Live Arcade on February 28, 2007.

A HD-remake version titled Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, is available for purchase on Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade and Sony's PlayStation Network.

The Sly Collection ( titled as The Sly Cooper Collection in Japan and The Sly Trilogy in Europe and in some parts of Australia ) is a remastered port of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves for the PlayStation 3 on a single Blu-ray Disc as a Classics HD title.

" Later in 2011, Oddworld Inhabitants have confirmed on their FAQ on their own website that JAW will develop a new Oddworld game which is currently called Abe HD.

Currently, there is no set release date for Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD for PlayStation 3.

In an interview with Just Add Water's Stewart Gilray in September 2011, it was hinted that Lanning was giving Just Add Water free rein over the HD remakes of the Oddworld series whilst he worked on undisclosed " new projects ".

New additional channels including 7mate and GEM HD commenced transmission in Hobart in September 2010.

Also in 2008, New York City public arts group Creative Time premiered nine pieces of Malcolm's 21-part sound painting series Shallow via MTV's massive HD screen in Times Square.

Time Warner Cable launched the HD feed on July 22 in the New York area.

HD Radio transmission in Auckland, New Zealand was started on October 19, 2005.

In September 2009 a full release of M. U. G. E. N ( MUGEN 1. 0 Release Candidate ) that includes various new features — most notably ( official ) support for HD resolutions, victory screens and language localization — was made available through the Elecbyte website.
