Anaïs Nin (; born Angela Anaïs Juana Antolina Rosa Edelmira Nin y Culmell, February 21, 1903 – January 14, 1977 ) was a French-Cuban author, based at first in France and later in the United States, who published her journals, which span more than 60 years, beginning when she was 11 years old and ending shortly before her death, her erotic literature, and short stories.

Anaïs Nin was born in Neuilly, France, to artistic parents.

" Anaïs Nin was an ardent fan of her work, especially Nightwood.

In 2009, Swedish music group Play was reunited as a trio with Faye Hamlin, Anaïs Lameche, and a new member, Sanne Karlsson via the popular Swedish TV program, Made in Sweden.

She was friends with many of the eminent authors of her time, including Robert Duncan, Anaïs Nin and Henry Miller.

She was already pitching in ideas and pieces of writing to Anaïs Nin's New York City smut club for fun, not money.

In her diary, Anaïs Nin observed that everyone who wrote pornography with her wrote out of a self that was opposite to her or his identity, but identical with his desire.

Anaïs Nin wrote the book at a time that she was having many affairs.

The magnitude of edits to the text is comparable to other historical diaries such as those of Katherine Mansfield, Anaïs Nin and Leo Tolstoy in that the authors revised their diaries after the initial draft, and the material was posthumously edited into a publishable manuscript by their respective executors, only to be superseded in later decades by unexpurgated editions prepared by scholars.

Sylvia Beach, whose famous shop was on 12, rue de l ' Odéon, was still in Paris and came to Le Mistral to see the writers of the new generation, whom Anaïs Nin called Xerox artists, read aloud their new work.

Anaïs Nin was a popular Cuban novelist born in Neuilly, an area in Paris and lived in Louveciennes from 1930 to 1936 at 2 bis, rue Montbuisson.

The opera was loosely based on the Exodus from Egypt of the Israelites, led by Moses, rendered agreeable to the opera stage by introducing a love theme, in which the Pharaoh's son Amenophis ( tenor ) plans to prevent their departure, since he loves the Israelite Anaïs ( soprano ).

As was eventually revealed in the 1990s when the unexpurgated versions of Anaïs Nin's diaries were published, Anaïs Nin claims to have had an incestuous relationship with her own father during her late 20s.

It has been claimed that this incestuous relationship was encouraged by one of her therapists, who suggested that in retaliation for her father's abandonment of her during her childhood, Anaïs Nin should seduce her father in adulthood and then abandon him.

In theory, this was supposed to leave Anaïs Nin feeling empowered.

It has been written that at the time of the publication of " House of Incest ," which took place at around the same time that Anaïs Nin was having an incestuous relationship with her father, some members of the Nin family who knew about the incestuous relationship were " horrified " to know that Anaïs Nin was writing a book with this title.

Four years later, in 2009, the group reformed with a new line up of three members consisting of Anaïs, Faye, and the sixth and oldest member of Play, Sanne Karlsson.

Her original line-up for Play consisted of two girls discovered at her dance studio: eleven-year-old Anna Sundstrand and thirteen-year-old Anaïs Lameche, younger sister of recording artist Amanda Lameche.

Anaïs Helena Kretz Lameche ( born 19 August 1987 in French Alps, France ) is an original member of the Swedish pop group Play.

In Play, Anaïs sang alto harmonies and some solos.

Janet had also been an acquaintance of original member Anaïs Lameche prior to joining Play.

After meeting Janet, the three remaining members of Play, Anaïs Lameche, Rosie Munter, and Anna Sundstrand welcomed her into the group.

A Spy in the House of Love is a 1954 novel by Anaïs Nin, part of her Cities of the Interior sequence, published by Swallow Press and British Book Centre, Paris and New York.

Faye Hamlin, Anna Sundstrand, Anaïs Lameche, and Rosie Munter formed Play's original line-up from the band's formation from 2001 until late 2003.

Anaïs ' older sister, Amanda Lameche, had already worked with Laila Bagge and had released a pop record in the United States.

Bagge held a nationwide talent search after finding Anna Sundstrand and Anaïs Lameche and chose Faye and her best friend Rosie Munter for her new girl group.
