" U. S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower had said " something CIA chief Allen Dulles to the effect that Lumumba should be eliminated ".

In 1975, the Church Committee went on record with the finding that Allen Dulles had ordered Lumumba's assassination as " an urgent and prime objective ".

Born in Washington, D. C., he was one of five children and the eldest son born to Presbyterian minister Allen Macy Dulles and his wife Edith ( Foster ).

He was also the older brother of Allen Welsh Dulles, Director of Central Intelligence under President Eisenhower, and of Eleanor Lansing Dulles who is most notable for her efforts in the economic rebuilding of post-war Europe during 20 years of employment with the State Department.

However, the junior partners, led by his brother Allen, were appalled by Nazi activities and threatened to revolt if Dulles did not end the firm's association with Hitler et al.

One of his first major policy shifts towards a more aggressive posture against communism, Dulles directed the CIA at this point now under the directorship of his brother Allen Dulles, in March 1953, to draft plans to overthrow the Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh in Iran.

In that same year, due to his relationship with his brother Allen Dulles, the Director of CIA and a former member of the Board Of Directors of the United Fruit Company, based in Guatemala, Foster Dulles was pivotal in promoting and executing the CIA-led Operation PBSUCCESS that overthrew the democratically elected Guatemalan government of Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán.

The study group included such luminaries as Dwight Eisenhower, Allen Dulles, Richard M. Bissell, Jr. and George Kennan.

Eleanor's older sister, Edith, was the mother of John Foster Dulles, who also became a U. S. Secretary of State, Allen Welsh Dulles, a Director of Central Intelligence, and Eleanor Lansing Dulles, a diplomat and noted author.

A. Allen, Frank Chapman, and Jonathan Dwight, the society concentrated on taxonomy and later became a clearing house for bird banding and sight records.

It was not until many years later, after Young's death, that Allen was able to recover the manuscript.

Allen, who later claimed that he said it to Captain Delaplace, said, " In the name of the Great Jehovah and the Continental Congress!

In his later years, independent Vermont continued to experience rapid population growth, and Allen sold a great deal of his land, but also reinvested much the proceeds in more land.

Allen died at home several hours later, without ever regaining consciousness.

The Village ( and surrounding New York City ) would later play central roles in the writings of, among others, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, James Baldwin, Truman Capote, Marianne Moore, Maya Angelou, Rod McKuen, and Dylan Thomas, who collapsed at the Chelsea Hotel and died at St. Vincents Hospital at 170 West 12th Street, in the Village after drinking at the White Horse Tavern on November 5, 1953.

Allen Aylett was a brilliant player in the late 1950s and early 1960s ( and captain between 1961 and 1964 ), as was Noel Teasdale, who lost the Brownlow Medal on a countback in 1965 ( he was later awarded a retrospective medal when the counting system was amended ).

Allen later changed his mind about Hughes and decided that the concealed child was the Earl of Southampton, the dedicatee of Shakespeare's narrative poems.

Allen later convinced Gates to drop out of Harvard University in order to create Microsoft.

This play would later be immortalized by one of the last great lines from John Facenda who said, " Here comes Marcus Allen, running with the night.

Allen's forces are defeated, and Allen himself is captured and held on British ships until he is later released.

Many years later, having achieved notability with other adventures and books on other subjects, Heyerdahl published a new account of this voyage under the title Fatu Hiva ( London: Allen & Unwin, 1974 ).
