Animator Bill Nolan did the voice of Oswald in Cold Turkey, the first Lantz cartoon with dialogue, and the following year Pinto Colvig, who was working as an animator and gag man at the studio, started voicing Oswald.

In 1924, animator Bill Nolan redesigned the fledgling feline, making him both rounder and cuter.

Lantz inherited many of his initial staff, including animator Tom Palmer and musician Bert Fiske from the Winkler studio, but importantly he decided to select a fellow New York animator, Bill Nolan, to help develop the series.

José Cuauhtémoc " Bill " Meléndez ( November 15, 1916 – September 2, 2008 ) was a Mexican-American character animator, film director, voice artist and producer, known for his cartoons for Warner Brothers, UPA and the Peanuts series.

Vladimir Peter " Bill " Tytla ( October 25, 1904 – December 30, 1968 ) was one of the original Disney animators and is considered by many to be the best character animator to work during The Golden Age of Hollywood animation.

Also among Virgin Interactive alumni are famed video game composer Tommy Tallarico, artist Doug TenNapel, designer David Bishop, animator Bill Kroyer, animator / artists Andy Luckey and Mike Dietz and programmer Andy Astor.

When the channels of defunct Tupi were redistributed for media businessman and TV animator Sílvio Santos and Russian-Brazilian journalist and owner of Manchete magazine Adolpho Bloch groups, on April 23, 1981, the new network SBT ( one of the results of the Rede Associada inventory ) owned the Miss Brasil until 1989.

Sand-coated puppet animation was used in the Oscar-winning 1977 film The Sand Castle, produced by Dutch-Canadian animator Co Hoedeman.

Stop-motion animation made a name for itself with the 1933 box-office hit King Kong, where animator Willis O ' Brien defined many of the major stop motion techniques used for the next 50 years.

This series was the first Tezuka production in which Tezuka adopted a method of animation which had long been used by Disney and Warner Brothers in which each animator was responsible for drawing a single character instead of the team of animators each taking a piece of a show and drawing everything.

In large-scale productions by major studios, each animator usually has one or more assistants, " inbetweeners " and " clean-up artists ", who make drawings between the " key poses " drawn by the animator, and also re-draw any sketches that are too roughly made to be used as such.

During the 1950s, Ray Harryhausen, protege of master King Kong animator Willis O ' Brien, used stop-motion animation to create special effects for the following notable science fiction films: It Came from Beneath the Sea ( 1955 ), Earth vs. the Flying Saucers ( 1956 ) and 20 Million Miles to Earth ( 1957 ).

Æon Flux was created by Korean American animator Peter Chung ( also the man behind Phantom 2040, which used the same animation style as Æon Flux ).

Vladislav Starevich ( August 8, 1882-February 26, 1965 ), born Władysław Starewicz (), was a Russian and French stop-motion animator who used insects and other animals as his protagonists.

In the mid-1990s, Bob Sabiston, an animator and computer scientist veteran of the MIT Media Lab, developed a computer-assisted " interpolated rotoscoping " process which he used to make his award-winning short film " Snack and Drink.

In 2003, computer animator Dale Myers used various films from the day of the shooting to plot the locations and speeds of the motorcycle police officers during the assassination, and concluded that no police motorcycles were anywhere near the precise microphone location on Houston Street required by the Committee's acoustic experts.

A variation of clay animation was developed by another Vinton animator, Craig Bartlett, for his series of Arnold short films ( also made in the late-1980s / early-1990s ), in which he not only used clay painting but sometimes built up clay images that rose off the plane of the flat support platform toward the camera lens to give a more 3-D stop-motion look to his films.

It was supervising animator Adam “ Mojo ” Lebowitz who theorised that plasma fire would have a similar appeareance to the laser fire used in various movies and other television shows, but as it would not travel at the speed of light ( as would be the case with lasers ), it would lend credulity to the idea of the viewer seeing a burst of light move across the screen

Hal Mason, the head animator at Cascade Pictures in Hollywood, California modified the existing artwork in print advertising to be more readily used for the television commercials written, produced, and directed by Thomas Scott Cadden.

Two stop-motion animated shorts were made of Curious George stories in 1984, created with puppet-figures by noted animator John Clark Matthews ( who later used a similar technique for his films of Frog and Toad ).

Box was the key animator on Aardman's film Chicken Run, which also used stop motion animation.

Screwy was also used as the model for the short-lived cartoon character Sledgehammer O ' Possum, created by animator Patrick A. Ventura for Cartoon Network's animation anthology television franchise, What-A-Cartoon !, produced by Turner's own Hanna-Barbera Cartoons in the early 1990s.

Images based on his paintings have featured on postage stamps issued by many countries, and the pioneering director / animator Karel Zeman used Burian paintings to produce models and 2-D animated images for his 1955 landmark feature film Cesta do pravěku ( released in the US as Journey to the Beginning of Time ).

The film was dedicated to animator George Jackson who worked on numerous Cosgrove Hall Productions.
