Around 1509 or 1511 ( details uncertain ), an expedition outfitted by Fernão de Loronha under Cristóvão Pires established another brazilwood factory at Baía de Todos os Santos ( modern Bahia ).

They then sailed to Brazil, arriving there in November at a bay they named " Todos os Santos " ( today Baía de Todos os Santos ).

The city is located on Ilha de São Luís ( São Luís Island ) in the Baía de São Marcos ( São Marcos Bay ), an extension of the Atlantic Ocean which forms the estuary of Pindaré, Mearim, Itapecuru and other rivers.

Maputo Bay ( Baía de Maputo ), formerly Delagoa Bay, Baía da Lagoa ( in Portuguese ) is an inlet of the Indian Ocean on the coast of Mozambique, between 25 ° 40 ' and 26 ° 20 ' S, with a length from north to south of over 90 km long and 32 km wide.

The area is flat in the north-central, the central part, the eastern part south of Calhau and the northern part in the Baía das Gatas area.

The largest of these are the Baía de Turiassu, facing which is São João Island, and the contiguous bays of São Marcos and São José, between which is the large island of São Luís.

The coastline east of Baía de São José is less indented and characterized by sand dunes, including the stark dune fields of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, as well as restinga forests that form on stabilized dunes.

At Baía de Hác Sá there is a Portuguese restaurant called " Fernandos ", famous amongst locals in Macau and tourists from Hong Kong.

Poborský's name is often attached to his performance in Euro 96, where during the quarter-final match against Portugal, he chipped the ball and lobbed it over the advancing Vítor Baía.
