Several explicit scenes of gore were cut in order to avoid an X rating, including: Maddy's death, who originally had a sickle jammed through her neck ; Ben's death, which showed Jason mashing his head into a bloody pulp ; Kate's demise, which showed Jason ramming her in the eye with a party horn, the box set ( DVD ) release only shows Jason ramming her in the eye but quickly cuts to another scene before revealing the blood and gore gushing from her eye ; we see Eddie's head hit the floor ; a shot of Russell's face splitting open with a large blood spurt ; Dan's original death had Jason ripping out his guts ; Amanda Shepard's death originally showed Jason stabbing her from behind, with the resulting blade going through her chest and subsequent blood hitting Dr. Crews ; Dr. Crews's death showed Jason's tree-trimming saw violently cutting into his stomach, sending a fountain of blood and guts in the air ; Melissa's original death had Jason cleaving her head in half with an axe with a close-up of her eyes still wriggling in their sockets.

However, their relationship was often strained by Boyce's high expectations and Ben's carelessness with his funds in activities such as betting on horse races.

Shaft starts his investigation by looking for a man named Ben Buford, who is revealed to have been part of " the movement " with Shaft years ago, and eventually finds out that Ben's group is holding a meeting.

Such events are followed with Ben's voiceover (" Let me try that again " or " Damn "), after which the sequence starts over to allow the player to retry.

Several diversions also come Ben's way: he must acquire items to cross a gorge when its bridge is destroyed, convince Maureen he didn't kill Corley via Miranda's recovered film, and fight through Ripburger's henchmen to stop Ripburger from taking over the company and getting away with murder.

The story would have focused on Ben's efforts to foil a plan by a " large corporation " and the local governor to replace all paved highways with hover pads, robbing the bikers and truckers of their traditional ground.

Earlier in the film, Ben's girlfriend, Lindsay Meeks ( Drew Barrymore ), not yet familiar with the triumphs and tribulations of the Red Sox, is unable to properly pronounce Yastrzemski's name, and has to be corrected by the surrounding fans: " Ya-STREM-ski!

His wife, Esta, is full of marital frustration ; Daughter Millicent feels abandoned on her birthday ; Associate Meyer Lansky is conflicted between wanting to fund Ben's Casino-Hotel and worrying about Ben's obsession with wanting to kill Mussolini.

After Ben's death, life became a struggle with money problems though Peter did his best to help.

He was a member of the " Big Three ", referring also to Jason Todd and Bucky whose notable deaths, along with Ben's, gave rise to the phrase " No one in comics stays dead except for Bucky, Jason Todd, and Uncle Ben ".

As a result, Peter considered himself morally responsible for Ben's death and resolved to fight crime as a superhero — realizing that with great power comes great responsibility — and vowing never to let another innocent person come to harm if he could help it.

However, later stories and flashbacks that took place when Ben was still alive retroactively made the phrase one of Ben's many homilies he would lecture Peter with.

Krystina receives a heart transplant but is later kidnapped ; Sammy Jo's marriage to Clay Fallmont ( Ted McGinley ) crumbles and she falls into bed with Steven ; Amanda leaves town, and Ben's daughter Leslie Carrington ( played by Terri Garber ) arrives.

This requires accurate synchronisation with Big Ben's chimes.

The film wraps up with Lisa, seeing Ben's distress at the thought of his friend moving back to Utah, declaring that Joe must stay and fight crime with him.

He is ultimately defeated by Harry Osborn, and upon learning Spider-Man's true identity after witnessing the destruction of Venom, he talks with Peter at the conclusion of the film, revealing the truth about Uncle Ben's death.

Flint was shocked and regretful, and remained behind while Carradine drove away in Ben's car before getting in a run with the police.

With Ben's famous dental patients, Susan's election ambitions and an unheathly obsession with Inspector Morse – not to mention the unlikely perils of house-sitting in a luxury modern apartment – domestic life is soon to be back to normal.

After a long string of arguments and hurt feelings between Isabel, Jackie and Anna, Luke proposes to Isabel, making her Anna and Ben's soon-to-be official stepmom.

As Shaft plan goes on it resembles a military commando-style operation, Ben's men all dress as workers at the hotel ( cooks, waiters, elevator operators, etc.

Shaft and one of Ben's guys go to the roof and get set up to enter from the window of the room where Marcy is being held captive.

Tim Schafer stated that Ben's last name is " Throttle " but it wasn't included in the game because of fears of a legal action by the producers of Biker Mice from Mars, which featured a character by the name of Throttle.

Hell on Wheels would have been set in El Nada, Ben's " old stomping ground ", whose roads have been mysteriously destroyed.
