The gunfight, believed to have lasted only about thirty seconds, was fought between the outlaw Cowboys Billy Clanton, Tom McLaury and his brother Frank McLaury, and the opposing lawmen Virgil Earp and his brothers Morgan and Wyatt Earp, aided by Doc Holliday acting as a temporary deputy of Virgil.

Billy and Frank stopped first at the Grand Hotel on Allen Street, and were greeted by Doc Holliday.

Doc Holliday was roughly facing Tom McLaury and Billy Clanton.

The wound to Billy Clanton's right wrist may have been inflicted by Morgan Earp or Doc Holliday immediately at the outset of the fight as Billy was drawing his gun.

Some witnesses testified that Morgan and Doc fired across one another at Billy and Frank, respectively.

Among the notorious characters were such legends of the Old West as: dentist Doc Holliday and his girlfriend Big Nose Kate, Jesse James, Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp, Mysterious Dave Mather, Hoodoo Brown, and Handsome Harry the Dancehall Rustler.

Assisted by his deputy Morgan Earp and temporary deputies Wyatt Earp and John " Doc " Holliday, Virgil went to disarm Frank and Tom McLaury, Ike and Billy Clanton, and Billy Claiborne.

Doc Holliday and Billy the Kid both wore badges as lawmen at least once.

4 ( Aug .- Nov. 2010 ), rendered with a subtitle on covers as Rawhide Kid: The Sensational Seven, found the Kid and his posse ( consisting of Kid Colt, Doc Holliday, Annie Oakley, Billy the Kid, Red Wolf and The Two-Gun Kid ) track the villainous Cristo Pike after Pike and his gang kidnap Wyatt and Morgan Earp.

Billy jumps on one horse as Doc gets on the other.

Chavez took work at a farm in California ; Doc moved east to New York and married Yen Sun, whom he had saved from Murphy ; and Billy continued to ride until he was found and shot dead by Pat Garrett, who in this film is shown as barely knowing Billy.

The New Mexico governor has issued warrants for the arrests of those involved in the Lincoln County wars, including Billy, Doc Scurlock ( Sutherland ), and Jose Chavez y Chavez ( Phillips ), who are dragged into town and imprisoned to await hanging.

In reality however, neither Doc Scurlock nor Chavez y Chavez rode with Billy the Kid following the Lincoln County War.

Doc is looking for his stolen horse and finds it in the possession of Billy the Kid ( Jack Buetel ).

This does not prevent Doc from trying to steal the horse back late that night, but Billy is waiting for him outside the barn.

As the pair start to leave, Pat shoots Billy, forcing Doc to shoot the gun out of his hand and kill two of Pat's men.

Doc takes Billy to the home of Rio and her aunt, Guadulupe ( Mimi Aguglia ).

This was a crossover between Billy the Cat and General Jumbo in the 2008 Beano Annual written by Kev F Sutherland and drawn by Nigel Dobbyn.
