Huxley's contemporary C. S. Lewis wrote The Great Divorce about the divorce of Heaven and Hell, in response to Blake's Marriage.

* The 1999 Blake's 7 radio play The Syndeton Experiment included a character named Dr. Rossum who turned humans into robots.

Its contributions included material for programmes such as The Body in Question, Blue Peter and Tomorrow's World as well as sound effects for popular science fiction programmes Blake's 7 and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ( in both its radio and television forms ) by Richard Yeoman-Clark and Paddy Kingsland respectively.

In October 1981 Marvel UK began publishing Blake's 7 – A Marvel Monthly, which included a comic strip by Ian Kennedy as well as text stories, features and photographs.

Blake's compositions included such hits as, " Bandana Days ", " Charleston Rag ", " Love Will Find A Way ", " Memories of You ", and " I'm Just Wild About Harry ".

The main storylines included a custody battle between Steven and Blake over Steven and Sammy Jo's son Danny, and a false accusation of illegal weapons dealings orchestrated by Alexis to ruin Blake's financial empire.

The Cult of ... series also included documentaries on Blake's 7 ( a series devised by Terry Nation ), and Doomwatch, which was produced by Terence Dudley.

Writers who worked on Blake's appearances throughout this 53-year span included John Creasey, Jack Trevor Story and Michael Moorcock.

Other associates included Derek " Splash " Page of the Daily Radio ; Ruff Hanson, a tough American investigator ( both created by Gwyn Evans ) and Blake's friends at Scotland Yard: Chief Detective Inspector Lennard, Detective Inspector Coutts and Superintendent Venner.

This was in keeping with Tchad Blake's spirit of maverick experimentation, which included sticking a binaural head-shaped microphone in front of Yuval Gabay's drumkit, sticking a mic in a car muffler, called " the Bone " and sticking that in the drum booth as well, and having Doughty improvise wild, yelling ad-libs on " Casiotone Nation ," singing into a cheap amplification system called an Ahuja that Blake bought in India.

More recent work has included several Doctor Who novels for BBC Books, all featuring the character of Leela, and a series of straight-to-CD full-cast audio dramas entitled Kaldor City, which combine elements from his Doctor Who serial The Robots of Death with his Blake's 7 work.

The series was still firmly set in the 1950s and included many new regular supporting characters, most notably Blake's colleagues in the security services.

There was one Super Detective Library appearance for Blake: issue 68 ( published November 1955 ), featuring a comic strip entitled " Sexton Blake's Diamond Hunt ".
