In 1986, Rhapsody Films and producer Roberta Grossman released Sippie Wallace: Blues Singer and Song Writer, a documentary about Sippie Wallace, who is represented in this film portrait by means of concert footage, interviews, historic rare recordings and photographs.

In 1989 " Everybody Needs Somebody to Love " was released as a single by the Blues Brothers in the UK, backed by " Think " and it peaked at # 12 in April 1990.

" Don't Give Up on Me, which was ranked the # 12 album in The 2002 Pazz & Jop Critics Poll, won Burke his only Grammy, the Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album at the 45th Grammy Awards on February 22, 2003.

Nothing's Impossible debuted at # 10 on the Living Blues Radio Chart in April 2010.

He also recorded " I'm Shakin '" by Rudy Toombs, " Suffering With The Blues ", and " Sleep " ( 1960 ) ( Pop # 13 ).

The song " Subterranean Homesick Blues " was taken from the album and issued as a single in April 1965 ( the same month as The Byrds ' " Mr. Tambourine Man " was released ) and it became a sizable hit internationally, reaching # 39 in the U. S. and # 9 in the UK.

Capdown released their Civil Disobedients album, featuring the track Dub # 1, while Sonic Boom Six and The King Blues take heavy influences from dub, mixing the genre with original punk ethics and attitudes.
