Burnin ' Sky is the fourth album by the band Bad Company.

Burnin ' Sky was recorded in France at Château d ' Hérouville in July and August 1976 with future Rolling Stones engineer Chris Kimsey but its release was delayed until March 1977 as to not compete with the band's then-current album Run with the Pack.

In the movie Almost Famous, the fictitious band Stillwater's first tee shirt is strikingly similar to the Burnin ' Sky album cover.

In addition, the albums Life, Love, & The Blues ( 1999 ), Burnin ' Down The House ( 2003 ), and Let's Roll ( 2004 ) were awarded Soul / Blues Album of the Year, and in 2001 she was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.

Good Trouble ( 1982 ) and Wheels Are Turnin ' ( 1984 ) were follow-up albums which also did well commercially, the former containing the hit singles " Keep the Fire Burnin '" ( U. S. # 7 ), " Sweet Time " ( U. S. # 26 ) and the un-ranked " The Key " and the latter containing the # 1 hit single " Can't Fight This Feeling " plus three more hits: " I Do ' Wanna Know " ( U. S. # 29 ), " One Lonely Night " ( U. S. # 19 ), " Live Every Moment " ( U. S. # 34 ) and the un-ranked " Break His Spell ".

Knight and LaBelle would collaborate the same year on " I Don't Do Duets ", a duet with Patti LaBelle from LaBelle's album Burnin '.

The first was released on New Alliance Records in 1986, and consisted of three tracks: " Into the Groove ( y )" ( a cover of Madonna's hit " Into the Groove ", incorporating snippets of her recording ) and the short " Tuff Titty Rap " on the A side ( both performed by the Sonic Youth members ), and " Burnin ' Up " ( performed by Watt with additional guitars by Greg Ginn ) on the B side.

It was rumored they were going to cover every song from The Beatles ' White Album, but actually only recorded three cover songs by other artists: " Addicted to Love " by Robert Palmer ( recorded in a karaoke booth ), and " Burnin ' Up " and " Into the Groove " by Madonna.

Examples are " Lively Up Yourself " ( on Natty Dread ), " Duppy Conqueror " ( on Burnin '), and " Sun Is Shining " ( on Kaya ).

" Zeus who holds the aegis " may have originally meant " Sky / Heaven, who holds the storm ".
