For example 23: 1: " Successful indeed are the believers "; Sura 9: 14 " Fight them and God will punish them at your hands ... God will make you victorious over them "; 22: 40: " God will certainly aid those who aid His ( cause ): for verily God is Full of Strength, Exalted in Might.

I call to witness the clouds that rain over and over again, And the earth that bursts forth ( with herbage and with springs ), ( That ) verily, this ( Qur ' ân ) is a decisive word.

Similarly in St Peter: " Christ .. Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you " ( 1 Peter 1: 20 ), and " But the end of all things is at hand " ( 1 Peter 4: 7 ).

* John 5: 24: " Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation ; but is passed from death unto life.

* John 6: 47: " Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Nay, verily: By the Moon, And by the Night as it retreateth, And by the Dawn as it shineth forth ,- This is but one of the mighty ( portents ), A warning to mankind ,- To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind ;- Every soul will be ( held ) in pledge for its deeds.

: They verily are not the true congregation of Christ who merely boast of his name.

While, Sura 104: 1-19 condemns those who are scandal / gossip-mongers and backbiters in strong terms, describing their punishment as " Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One ; And what will explain to thee what the Consuming One is!

the righteous verily are in delight, On couches, gazing, Thou wilt know in their faces the radiance of delight They are given to drink of a pure wine, sealed, Whose seal is musk.

* 51: 47: " It is We who have built the universe with ( Our creative ) power ; and, verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it.

So verily I call to witness the planets-that recede, Go straight, or hide ; And the Night as it dissipates ; And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness ;- Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, With authority there, ( and ) faithful to his trust.

The third is in verse 19: ' And Lamech the father of Noah died in those days ; yet verily he did not go with all his heart in the ways of his father, and he died in the hundred and ninety-fifth year of the life of Noah.
