In the season five ( 2001 ) episode " Scott Tenorman Must Die ", Cartman, feeling cheated out of $ 16. 12 by a local eighth-grader named Scott Tenorman, successfully executes an elaborate scheme to publicly humiliate Scott in front of his favorite band Radiohead, by tricking Scott's parents into getting murdered and then tricking Scott into eating them.
Cartman is shown at times to be pure evil, claiming himself to have ground a kid's parents up into chili, and then fed it to the kid because Cartman didn't like him, and then to proceed to boastfully taunt the kid without any remorse.
Connor then " dies " ( Cartman makes it look like she " flutters away " into the wind ), and everyone goes away except for the boys.
Kyle then asks Cartman to explain Mitch Connor.
Kyle at first is reluctant but then hits Cartman only once ( barely ), causing him to scream and cry very loudly and cry for his mother.
The three of them then travel to Bentonville to stop the Wall-Mart, but are joined by Cartman, whom the Wall-Mart " told " to stop them.
Kenny is then assigned to hold Cartman off while Stan and Kyle enter the Wall-Mart.
They begin to feel ' stoned ', then have weird hallucinations, seeing each other as monstrous grotesques ( including Kyle having the head of a wolf and massive yellow eyes, and Cartman being a shapeless blob of fat ).
The rest of the town then pleads with Cartman to rid the town of the hippies.
Cartman then uploads the Slayer song " Raining Blood " into the speakers ( as Cartman reasons, " hippies can't stand death metal ").
Cartman then pulls out a knife and tells Kyle that he has plans for him.
Kyle is then forced to watch Cartman having fun with his Tonka bulldozer in the school parking lot.
Kyle then realizes they should not have made this issue into such a media circus, and concludes that Kenny should be taken off life support, commenting that Cartman was " right, for the wrong reasons ", while he and Stan were " wrong, for the right reasons ".
Kyle then calls Cartman a fatass instead, causing him to throw the rock at Token, giving him a black eye in the process, much to Kyle's shock.
Cartman then discovers that when the semen they recovered has been added to the Sea People aquarium, it combines with the Brine Shrimp to create an intelligent race of actual sea people.
Now genuinely traumatized, Butters accepts that he has been imagining Cartman's visits, but then Cartman breaks into the asylum to get his help again.
They then see Cartman disguised as Scuzzlebutt and start shooting at him.
After a brief fight, Cartman exposes all of Miss Struthers's hoarding of the food supply to the Ethiopians, who then take control of the food supply.
Also in the classroom, when it is suggested some poor people would rather die than go to a poorhouse, Cartman says, " Well then perhaps they should-and decrease the surplus population!
Cartman then takes a more diplomatic approach, stating that he understands Kyle's decision, but wishes to remain friends.
Cartman then begins working to get rid of Butters.

The next morning Cartman awakes to find in his bed a naked Affleck, who announces that he and " Ms. Lopez " made love all night.

In an action King's College philosophy professor David Kyle Johnson describes as " directed either toward accomplishing his own happiness or the unhappiness of others ", Cartman often feigns actual friendship with his classmates when needing a favor.
The counselor insists, as the real-life interventionists often do, that all parties be allowed to " say whatever they need to say " to one another during the course of the actual intervention, which leads to Cartman endlessly harassing Kyle with insults and racial / ethnic / religious slurs.
Travis Pickett of IGN gave it a 8. 5 rating, especially praising Trey Parker and Matt Stone for managing to contrast the episode with the actual Simpsons ( with themes like Cartman performing fellatio on " some guy in an alley "), while respectfully paying their dues.
The voice used by the supposedly actual Adolf Hitler in the educational video shown to Cartman is based on Monty Python alum John Cleese's Hitler impression, which both Parker and Stone particularly praised.

The idea of having Cartman eat the skin off of an entire tub of fried chicken came from a similar script meeting one evening when Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and the remaining writing staff were sitting around a table having a bucket of KFC chicken for dinner while they discussed ideas and someone mentioned how terrible it would be if someone stole all the skins when everyone else was out of the room.
While " Cartman Gets an Anal Probe " was created almost entirely with construction paper, " Weight Gain 4000 " was the first South Park episode made completely using computers.
