Charles Horman ( May 15, 1942 – September 19, 1973 ) was an American journalist and was one of the victims of the 1973 Chilean coup d ' état led by General Augusto Pinochet, that deposed the socialist president, Salvador Allende, after bombing the Chilean presidential palace on September 11, 1973.
