In 2006, he had a prominent role in the remake of The Pink Panther and its sequel, playing Gilbert Ponton, the partner of Inspector Clouseau opposite Steve Martin, and also portrayed Captain Bezu Fache in the Ron Howard film The Da Vinci Code.

Along with anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, Sarandon took part in a 2006 Mother's Day protest, which was sponsored by Code Pink ; she has expressed interest in portraying Sheehan in a film.

Medea Benjamin ( born Susan Benjamin on September 10, 1952 ) is an American political activist, best known for co-founding Code Pink and, along with her husband, activist and author Kevin Danaher, fair trade advocacy group Global Exchange.

She is a co-founder of the left-wing feminist anti-war group Code Pink: Women for Peace, which advocated an end to the Iraq War, the prevention of future wars, and social justice.

The organization's board of directors includes André Carothers, Anna Hawken McKay, Anna Lappé of the Small Planet Institute, James Gollin, a founding member of the Social Venture Network and Jodie Evans, a founder of Code Pink Women for Peace.

On March 10 and 11, 2008, a group of college students, from the organization Our Spring Break, supported by Code Pink and Iraq Veterans Against the War, as well as several other organizations, issued symbolic stop-loss " orders " to every member of both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate in protest of both the practice of stop-lossing, and of the Iraq War.

It employed tactics now known as culture jamming and guerilla communication that have been widely popularized by Billionaires for Bush, Greene Dragon, Code Pink, and other organizations.

Code Pink: Women for Peace is an anti-war group that is mainly composed of women.

With members wearing the group's signature pink color, Code Pink has conducted marches, protests, and high-visibility publicity stunts in order to promote its goals.

Although women initiated and lead the group, Code Pink allows men to participate in its activities.

Code Pink was founded on November 17, 2002 by Jodie Evans, Medea Benjamin and other activists.

In February 2003, just weeks before the invasion of Iraq, Code Pink organized its first trip to that nation, and subsequently led five delegations there.
