After their success with Lisa Stansfield, her label Arista offered Coldcut a deal.

The name Coldcut however stayed with Arista so there were no official Coldcut releases for the next three years.

In February 1997, with the legal right to the Coldcut name back, they released a double pack single " Atomic Moog 2000 " / " Boot the System ", the first Coldcut release on Ninja Tune.

Coldcut also collaborated with video mashup artist TV Sheriff and NomIg., to produce two audiovisual pieces " World of Evil " ( 2004 ) and " Revolution ' 08 " ( 2008 ), both composed of footage from the United States presidential elections of the respective years.

The music used for all three pieces was composed by Coldcut, with " Revolution ' 08 " featuring a remix by the Qemists.

It then began to influence popular music in Europe, with songs such as " House Nation " by House Master Boyz and the Rude Boy Of House ( 1987 ) and " Doctorin ' The House " by Coldcut ( 1988 ) in the pop charts.

In March 2007, together with Coldcut, he organised a tribute show to the writer and philosopher Robert Anton Wilson, which they performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Inspired by a visit to Japan, Black & More ( Coldcut ) primarily created Ninja Tune in 1990 to act as a vehicle by which they could release music of a more underground nature, free from the restraints placed on artists by major labels ( the same restraints that were put on them via their brief stints with Arista and Big Life ).

Prior to meeting Robin at the Five launch party in 1997, Stuart Warren Hill had begun working on the Natural Rhythms Trilogy, a collaborative effort with Coldcut and Greenpeace.

A tribute show to Wilson, organized by Coldcut and Mixmaster Morris and performed in London as a part of the " Ether 07 Festival " held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on March 18, 2007, also included Ken Campbell, Bill Drummond and Alan Moore.

With Alan Moore, Bill Drummond, Mixmaster Morris and Coldcut, he appeared at the Royal Festival Hall in 2007 in a memorial tribute to Robert Anton Wilson, co-author of the Illuminatus!

The music is similar to Coldcut and has an electro infused sound that reviewer Bob Bannister terms a combination of “ South Bronx hip hop the avant-Eurodisco sound of Kraftwerk .” The album was created over a two year period on two 100 MHz Macs that were barely switched off during the production ; one 30 second siren sound at the beginning of the track Machine Toy took three days to render.

These pieces were continuations of the original Coldcut audiovisual piece " Revolution " ( 2005 ) which used samples of the UK political elections as source footage.
