Cole's story " Murder, Morphine and Me ", which he illustrated and possibly wrote for publisher Magazine Village's True Crime Comics # 2 ( May, 1947 ), became a centerpiece of psychiatrist Dr. Fredric Wertham's crusade against violent comic books.

A second variation of the story claims that the rights to a popular Kelly play were purchased from E. J. Cole's Bohemian Company, and members of the troup performed in the film.

Cole's story raised questions, however, because he never filed a criminal complaint, came forward only long after the alleged incidents took place and later returned to work with one of the alleged harassers.

Later in the story, Many Wounds, becomes a trusted ally of Colton and helps him out with Cole's fight against Magruder.

Cole's solicitors set up an online survey to investigate the impact, questioning respondents as to where they heard the story and if they discussed it in any forums.

She followed it up with a version of Nat " King " Cole's " Unforgettable ", and then two highly successful duets in 1960 with Brook Benton, " Baby ( You've Got What It Takes )" ( Number 5 pop, Number 1 R & B ) and " A Rockin ' Good Way ( To Mess Around and Fall in Love ) (# 7 pop, # 1 R & B ).

While the cuisines of many cultures have taken root in Los Angeles, it is the home of the Cobb Salad, invented in the Brown Derby restaurant in Hollywood, the French-Dip sandwich, originated early in the 20th Century by either Cole's Pacific Electric Buffet or Phillippe's — both of which still exist downtown, the ice blended coffee drink by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Original Tommy's Hamburger.

In " Power Outage ", Cole's superiors, the demonic Triad, learn that he may have developed genuine romantic feelings for Phoebe ; Cole responds by killing them, forcing him into hiding.

When Prue and Piper are both killed following a successful mission by the Source's assassin Shax ( Michael Bailey Smith ) in the season finale " All Hell Breaks Loose ", Cole's begs the Source ( again, Michael Bailey Smith ) to turn back time and prevent the exposure of magic ; the Source agrees on the condition that Phoebe remain in the underworld under his command, though he secretly orders her to be killed.

After the Charmed Ones successfully kill the Source ( Peter Woodward ) in " Charmed and Dangerous ", the Source's essence fills the space left by Cole's vanquished demon half, making Cole the new Source ; as the Source, he is guided by the Seer ( Debbi Morgan ), a manipulative demoness who has served multiple Sources.

In " Womb Raider ", the Seer uses a spell to take Cole's child from Phoebe, becoming the Source herself, but becomes overwhelmed by its powers and dies.

In " Sympathy for the Demon ", Cole is taunted by the spirit of the demon Barbas ( Billy Drago ) who convinces Cole to use a power-stripping potion and acquires Cole's powers, becoming corporeal.

He won the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocal ( s ) in 1981 for Quincy Jones's album Velas, and again in 1991 for Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole's " Unforgettable ", and one year later once more for Shirley Horn's album Here's to Life.

The first individual instalment of the campaign was entitled, " Rediscover Technology ", and featured Chris Cole's signature shoe.

However, as the full comedy potential of Cole's dodgy-dealing character emerged, as well as the successful on-screen pairing of Waterman and Cole ( which proved to be one of the series most popular elements ), the emphasis increasingly focused more on Arthur's exploits, and by a few series into the show's life, typical plots revolved more around Arthur's latest shady scam instead of some of the more " gritty " plots of Terry's minding jobs witnessed in early episodes.

New York culture bloomed in the first half of the 19th century: in 1809 Washington Irving wrote the satirical A History of New York under the pen name Diedrich Knickerbocker, and in 1819 he based Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in Hudson Valley towns ; Thomas Cole's Hudson River School established itself in the 1830s by showcasing dramatic landscapes of the Hudson Valley.

Among the actors performing Simon of Cyrene in productions of this play is Paul Robeson ( in a 1920 YWCA production directed by Bob Cole's sister Dora ).

He also played Michael Ryan in ITV1's adaptation of Martina Cole's novel Dangerous Lady, directed by Jack Woods and produced by Lavinia Warner, in 1995.

Cole's art first appeared in the fifth issue ; he would have at least one piece published in Playboy each month for the rest of his life.

In the same year, Cole's autobiography A Passionate Life was published.

While Timely Comics ' quickly forgotten Flexo the Rubber Man had preceded " Plas " as comics ' first stretching hero, Cole's character became an immediate hit, and Police Comics lead feature with issue # 5.
