The team did have some bright spots offensively, as Coslet's former backup quarterback with the Jets, Jeff Blake, became a star starter ( ending the era of first round bust David Klingler as Bengals quarterback ) and wide receivers Carl Pickens and Darnay Scott were his two main targets.
