The screenplay, written by poet and Philadelphia native Cristin O ' Keefe Aptowicz, remains unproduced, although a short based on the feature-length script was created as a part of the Philadelphia Film Festival prize package ..

The book, published by Seal Press in 2007, features essays and poetry from poets such as Patricia Smith, Eileen Myles, Sarah Jones, Suheir Hammad, Staceyann Chin, Cristin O ' Keefe Aptowicz, Lynn Breedlove and Michelle Tea, among others.

In the book, Words in Your Face: A Guided Tour Through Twenty Years of the New York City Poetry Slam, author Cristin O ' Keefe Aptowicz describes the influential Smith:

Dafydd was the son of Owain Gwynedd by Cristin verch Goronwy.

Since Owain and Cristin were first cousins, the marriage was not accepted by the church, which regarded Dafydd as illegitimate.

The film was produced by Jacob Jaffke and This American Life's Ira Glass and stars Birbiglia, Lauren Ambrose, Carol Kane, James Rebhorn, and Cristin Milioti and has cameos by Kristen Schaal, Wyatt Cenac, David Wain, Jessi Klein, John Lutz and Marc Maron.
