Daddy Kev ( born in 1974 ) is a hip hop producer and recording engineer from Los Angeles, California.

Together with Hive and Shaggy, Daddy Kev founded Celestial Recordings in 1998.

Daddy Kev also produced records by Naptron and Alien Nation, most of the songs characterized by fusing rap with sci-fi samples.

His work with Awol One on Souldoubt in 2001 saw Daddy Kev return to a more conventional underground hip hop context.

Although Celestial Recordings folded in early 2002, Daddy Kev stayed in Los Angeles to produce and engineer numerous albums including Busdriver's Temporary Forever, D-Styles ' Phantazmagorea, Awol One's Slanguage, The Grouch's Sound Advice and Existereo's Dirty Deeds & Dead Flowers.

The album is produced entirely by Daddy Kev and released on Big Dada.

Upon the conclusion of work on Bangzilla, Daddy Kev hatched a plan with business manager Danyell Jariel to start a new record label Alpha Pup Records.

In 2006, Daddy Kev served as executive producer on albums for Subtitle, Daedelus, Scream Club and Acid Reign, all released on Alpha Pup Records.

Celestial Recordings was a record label founded in 1998 by producers Daddy Kev and Hive.

Mear One has done album covers for artists like Non Phixion, Freestyle Fellowship, Alien Nation, Limp Bizkit, Busdriver and Daddy Kev.

October 2006 saw the release of Terrain to Roam and featured production from Madlib, Dntel ( aka Jimmy Tamborello ), Daedelus, Nobody, Daddy Kev, Paris Zax, Thavius Beck, Omid, dDamage, Crunc Tesla, and Small Is Beautiful ( aka J ' Aime Tambeur ) of Islands, among others.

Upon graduation ( 1960 ), he began working as " Daddy Jules " at WYOU-AM in Newport News, Virginia.

In 1979, he guest-hosted on Saturday Night Live, in which he spoofed his television sitcom image by appearing in a Twilight Zone send-up, in which, always trying to go " home ", he finds himself among the characters from other 1950s / early 1960s-era sitcoms, Leave It to Beaver, Father Knows Best, Make Room for Daddy, and I Love Lucy.

In October 2009, Mattel announced a new Palm Beach line which included a Sugar Daddy Ken doll aimed for adult collectors.
