Virtually all productions today, however, use the original ending, as do nearly all of the film versions of this play, including Dariush Mehrjui's Sara ( the Argentine version, made in 1943 and starring Delia Garcés, does not ; it also modernizes the story, setting it in the early 1940s ).

Filmmakers from the Iranian New Wave such as Dariush Mehrjui and Jafar Panahi have cited the film as an important influence on their work.

In 1968, Dariush Safvat and Nur-Ali Borumand helped form the Center for Preservation and Propagation of Iranian Music with the help of Reza Ghotbi, director of NIRT ( National Iranian Radio-Television ), an act credited with saving traditional music in the 1970s by other ethnomusicologists, including Nelly Caron, Tran Van Khe, and Hormoz Farhat.

Bank Mellat was established in 1980, with a paid of capital of Rials 33. 5bn as a merger of ten pre-revolution private banks comprising: Tehran, Dariush, Pars, Etebarat Taavoni & Tozie, Iran & Arab, Bein-al-melalie-Iran, Omran, Bimeh Iran, Tejarat Khareji Iran and Farhangian.

The structure was built by local craftsmen with bricks taken from two other archaeological sites, the Achaemenid Darius / Dariush castle and the Elamite Choqazanbil ziggurat.

Dariush Forouhar's wife, she became a member of the Party of the Iranian Nation when she was a student, launching anti-Shah campaign shoulder to shoulder with Dariush Forouhar.

Heshmat Raeisi, ex-member of the Central Committee of both the Fedai and the Tudeh Party, participated in the sixth Congress of the ( monarchist ) Constitutionalist Party of Iran in November 2006 and gave a speech ; in February 2007 Dariush Homayoun of the rightist Constitutionalist Party of Iran wrote a friendly letter to the major leftist party ( the OIPFG ( M )).

Around this time, the Third National Front was formed, which consisted of the FMI ( religious-nationalists ; Melli-Mazhabis ), the Iran Nation Party ( the party of Dariush Forouhar ; Hezb-e Mellat-e Iran ), the Society of Iranian Socialists ( led by Khalil Maleki, a prominent personality of the Mossadegh era who had been prohibited from joining the Second National Front due to his past history in the Tudeh Party ) and the student activists.

The National Front was revived in late 1977 by Dr. Karim Sanjabi ( former minister of education under Mossadegh and now the leader of the Front ), Dr. Shapour Bakhtiar ( former deputy minister of labor under Mossadegh and now the leader of the Iran Party ) and Dariush Forouhar ( head of the Iran Nation Party ).

Dariush Forouhar () ( August 1928-November 1998 ) was a founder and leader of the Hezb-e Mellat-e Iran ( Nation of Iran Party ), a pan-Iranist opposition party in Iran and served as Minister of Labor in the Provisional Revolutionary Government of Mehdi Bazargan in 1979.

A 2006 review, conducted by Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian and Dr. Eric B. Rimm, of the risks and benefits of fish consumption found that for adults the benefits of one to two servings of fish per week outweigh the risks, even ( except for a few fish species ) for women of childbearing age, and that avoidance of fish consumption could result in significant excess coronary heart disease deaths and suboptimal neural development in children.

The group was founded by Dariush Forouhar in 1951, which he continued to lead up until his unsolved murder in 1998.

In October 2009, the award committee of the Global Dialogue Prize declared Dariush Shayegan and Mohammad Khatami as joint winners of the inaugural award, " for their work in developing and promoting the concept of a ' dialogue among cultures and civilizations ' as new paradigm of cultural subjectivity and as new paradigm of international relations.

In January 2010 Mohammad Khatami stated that " he was not in the position to accept the award ", and the prize was given to Dariush Shayegan alone.

Musician Dariush Dolat-shahi performed and workshops, lectures and other performances took place.

The Iranian-American scene produced several stars in the Iranian-in-exile community, including Dariush, Ebi, Homeira, Hayedeh, Mahasti, Moein, Farzin and more.

In 1951, the party leaders Mohsen Pezeshkpour and Dariush Forouhar came to a disagreement as to how the party should operate, and a division occurred.

The first Spanish film stars came from the musical genre: Imperio Argentina, Estrellita Castro, Florián Rey ( director ) and, later, Lola Flores, Sara Montiel and Carmen Sevilla.

Horace Andy was invited back to sing on three songs, including " Angel " and a track the band made for the film The Jackal, " Dissolved Girl ", sung by Sara Jay, was remixed for inclusion on the record.

The latter featured in Mark Greenstreet's 1996 comedy film ' Caught In The Act ' which starred Sara Crowe, Annette Badland, Nadia Sawalha, Paul Shelly and Leslie Phillips.

The producers of the album did not like her vocals and so the song was re-recorded by Sara Hickman for the film.

During that time, she also filmed Linda Sara ( 1994 ), a Puerto Rican film directed by Jacobo Morales in which she was paired with fellow Puerto Rican singer, Chayanne.

D ' Onofrio appears in only one scene near the end of the film, but his role attracted attention because of his muscular physique and long blond hair which causes Sara, the film's youngest character, to mistakenly believe he is Thor, the comic-book superhero she idolizes.

The character of Sara Pezzini was also featured in crossovers with characters from other franchises, including Lara Croft, Vampirella, the Justice League, the titular creatures from the Alien and Predator film series, the Magdalena and the cast of Battle of the Planets.

Sara has no retirement plans and in May 2011, after almost 40 years without making a movie, she accepted to appear in a feature film directed by Óscar Parra de Carrizosa.

For her next film she changed her name to Sara, after her grandmother, and Montiel after the Montiel fields in the Castile – La Mancha region of her birth.

It included Trevor Jones's instrumental music from the film as well as dialogue excerpts and songs such as " Blue Eyes Are Sensitive To The Light " by Sara Hickman, " Caught in Your Web ( Swear to Your Heart )" by Russell Hitchcock, and " I Left My Heart in San Francisco " by Tony Bennett.
