Drusilla is delighted by Angelus's determination to destroy the world and encourages his ongoing sexual attention ; both dynamics strongly disturb Spike, who wants Drusilla to himself again and does not particularly want the world to end.

Their " friendship " seems to be more of an alliance or a form of servitude: Ethel and Drusilla are not true friends, they have stuck beside each other because nobody else can bear to be around them.

For the next year there are two Slayers in the world: first Kendra, who was called on Buffy's death, and then Faith, who was called when Kendra was killed by Drusilla.

The three are clearly pleased to be together again-grinning and gleeful, Angelus kisses Spike on the forehead in the only friendly moment seen between them this season, while Drusilla claps.

When his advances are turned down, Spike kidnaps Buffy and Drusilla, who has returned to Sunnydale.

Flashbacks are shown that explain why Angel and Spike hate " The Immortal ": he slept with Darla and Drusilla simultaneously while his minions held Angelus and Spike in chains.
