Electric Light Orchestra ( ELO ) were a British rock group from Birmingham who released eleven studio albums between 1971 and 1986 and another album in 2001.
From 1972 to 1986, ELO accumulated 27 Top-40 hit singles in both the UK and the US.
Lynne, with the 7-piece line-up that supported Time ( with the exception of bassist Groucutt being replaced by Martin Smith ), played a small number of live ELO performances in 1986, including shows in England and Germany along with US appearances on American Bandstand, Solid Gold, then at Disneyland that summer.
Upon completion of the album Lynne reformed the band with completely new members including his then-girlfriend Rosie Vela ( who had released her own album " Zazu ", in 1986 ) and announced that ELO would tour again.
After the end of ELO in 1986, he founded ELO Part II without the original ELO singer-songwriter, Jeff Lynne.

Kelly Groucutt ( 8 September 1945 – 19 February 2009 ), born Michael William Groucutt, was an English musician who was best known for being the bassist for the English rock band Electric Light Orchestra ( ELO ), between 1974 and 1983.
Groucutt remained with ELO until the onset of the recording sessions for 1983's Secret Messages album.
In the US, a small Jet logo started appearing on the UA label in 1975 for releases by ELO and Wood.
