" In 1988, Capitol / EMI re-issued the 2-cassette version of the album, still with the same cover artwork as the original cassettes, but without the black slip-cover box.

Some Charisma Records recordings have most recently been re-issued on the EMI label.

A vinyl and cassette version of the album was issued in the U. S. in 1984 on the EMI label, but was deleted after a few months and never re-issued.

Two years later, the Gramophone Company subsidiary became EMI Records Ltd as well, and in February 1979, EMI Ltd acquired United Artists Records and with it their subsidiary labels Liberty Records and Imperial Records.

At the same time, The Rolling Stones signed a one-album deal with Interscope Records / Universal Music Group outside of its contract with EMI, which expired on February 2008, and then in July 2008 signed a new long term deal with Universal Music Group.

In February 2010, EMI Group reported pre-tax losses of £ 1. 75 billion for the year ended March 2009, including write-downs on the value of its music catalogue.

Citigroup ( which held $ 4 billion in debt ) took 100 % ownership of EMI Group from Terra Firma Capital Partners on 1 February 2011, writing off £ 2. 2 billion of debt and reducing EMI's debt load by 65 %.

To coincide with the " 5x5 Live " tour, EMI Music will release on 20 February 2012 the Simple Minds X5 box set featuring the 5 first albums over 6 discs, Life in a Day, Real to Real Cacophony, Empires and Dance, Sons and Fascination / Sister Feelings Call and New Gold Dream ( 81 – 82 – 83 – 84 ) ( with Sons and Fascination and Sister Feelings Call as separate discs in a gatefold sleeve as well as bonus material on each disc including rare and previously unavailable CD, B-sides and remixes ).

In February 2009, a Horrid Henry album entitled Horrid Henry's Most Horrible Album was released by EMI Records, featuring Horrid Henry songs including the TV theme tune and songs from the stage show.

The band released their first single, " Mirror Man ", on EMI in February 1982.

EMI digitized the collection and released it on three compact discs in February 2009 as “ Les Urnes de l ' Opera ”.

In February 1979, Capitol's parent company EMI foreclosed on them and has owned the rights of the Liberty labels since then.

In January 2010 she announced that she worked all 2009 in a new studio album, set to be released on February 13, 2010, under EMI Music, titled " Move You On-Muévete ", which it contains 12 tracks recorded in Mexico City, Texas & Colombia, 8 tracks are in Spanish language, the other 4 are in English language.
