Edison was on hand to turn on the lights at the Hotel Edison in New York City when it opened in 1931.

In the basement of the new Ellicott Square Building, Main Street, Buffalo, New York, Mitchell Mark ( properly spelled Mitchel Mark ) and his brother Moe Mark added what they called Edison's Vitascope Theater ( entered through Edisonia Hall ), which they opened to the general public on October 19, 1896 in collaboration with Rudolf Wagner, who had moved to Buffalo after spending several years working at the Edison laboratories.

A new crop of bands were influenced by the classic albums, and Combustible Edison for one featured songs like " Breakfast at Denny's ", a tongue-in-cheek title for a song styled on the music of Martin Denny.

In the 2004 presidential election, a new organization called National Election Pool was set up by the same organizations, utilizing consultants Edison / Mitofsky for exit polling and Associated Press for official returns.
