Eloy, a progressive rock band formed by guitarist Frank Bornemann in 1969, had a distinctly symphonic sound in the second part of the ' 70s when Jurgen Rosenthal and Detlev Schmidtchen were part of the group ( which also included Klaus-Peter Matziol ).
