On June 26, 2005, Wild Desert, owned by several businesspeople including former New York Yankees manager Joe Torre, gave Frankel his first victory in the $ 1 million Queen's Plate, the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown at Woodbine Racetrack.

Eugene V. " Gene " Frankel ( December 23, 1919 – April 20, 2005 ) was an American actor, theater director, and acting teacher especially notable in the founding of the off-Broadway scene.

For a compact manifold with positive bisectional curvature, the Frankel conjecture proved by Siu and Yau, and independently by Mori, shows that it is complex projective space.

As well as directing over 200 shows and managing at least twelve theaters throughout his career, Frankel taught acting, writing and directing.

The new award, a bronze medallion was designed by David Macaulay, the 1995 winner of the Frankel Prize.

Frankel moved back to Toledo and started a new firm, Creative Partners, while the SEC was investigating him, using the name Rothschild International Investments and a Swiss bank account to separate Creative Partners from his own name and ongoing investigation.

Sonia Schulte set up a brokerage in direct competition with her husband's and directed her clients to Creative Partners ; meanwhile, Frankel set up another company, Donar Corporation, which paid for Sonia Schulte's new house, and paid Sonia's divorce and custody lawyers over $ 300, 000 out of the Swiss bank account.

Teddy had been an artist as a teenager and during the series launched a career as a fashion designer, which led to a relationship with British millionaire Simon Bolt ( Mark Frankel ) who purchased and eventually sold her fashion company ( then named " Theodora Reed "; Teddy then opened a new fashion company under the name " Teddy Reed ," only to be ousted by her shareholders in season six and reopen yet again under the name T. R .).

In 1971 he joined Gerald Frankel, the owner of CAPS, and founded a new company-Imaging Technology ( Imtec ).

Captain Frankel and Sergeant Zim were said to be very proficient in it, and the style was part of the training curriculum during basic training at Camp Arthur Currie.

In 1923, Rabbi Benjamin Frankel of Illinois established an organization on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to provide both Reform and Orthodox Sabbath services, classes in Judaism and social events for Jewish college students.

By October 2002, Jose Santos believed this horse would be his " Derby horse ", although there was more press coverage of Empire Maker and his stablemate Peace Rules ( both horses trained by Robert J. Frankel ).

* California, Sweet Homeland of Mine — In 1921, Lynden Ellsworth Behymer ( 1862-1947 ), impresario, and Bessie Bartlett Frankel ( Mrs. Cecil Frankel ) ( 1884-1959 ), donated a sum of money to the California Federation of Music Clubs to hold a contest for lyrics to a state song " of real value.

Its principal founder was Rabbi Zecharias Frankel, who had broken with the German Reform Judaism in 1845 over its rejection of the primacy of the Hebrew language in Jewish prayer and the rejection of the laws of kashrut.

Accounts vary about what happened to the diamond during the years 1902-1907 ; one account suggested that it lay in the Frankel safe during these years while the jewelers took it out periodically to show it to wealthy Americans ; a rival account, probably invented to help add " mystery " to the Hope Diamond story, suggested that some persons had bought it but apparently sold it back to Frankel.

There were reports in one story in The New York Times of several owners of the gem, perhaps who had bought it from Frankel and owned it temporarily who met with ill-fortune, but this report conflicts with the more likely possibility that the gem remained in the hands of the Frankel jewelry firm during these years.

In 1908, Frankel sold the diamond for $ 400, 000 to a Salomon or Selim Habib, a wealthy Turkish diamond collector, reportedly in behalf of Sultan Abdul Hamid of Turkey ; however, on June 24, 1909, the stone was included in an auction of Habib's assets to settle his own debts, and the auction catalog explicitly stated that the Hope Diamond was one of only two gems in the collection which had never been owned by the Sultan.

In his magnum opus Darkhei HaMishnah ( Ways of the Mishnah ), Frankel amassed scholarly support which showed that Jewish law was not static, but rather had always developed in response to changing conditions.

Since many people had sent in the $ 10 donation suggested in return for using the program, Frankel earned tens of thousands of dollars a month.

Geiger, who had inspired Jonas Fränkel, the president of his congregation, to found this institution, opposed the appointment vigorously, and when the examination questions given by Frankel to the first graduating class appeared, Geiger published them in a German translation with the evident intention of ridiculing the casuistic method of Talmudic instruction ( Geiger, " Jüd.

Frankel was a distant relation, the only mathematician in the extended family, and Hermann's mother had the foresight to engineer a meeting between her young son and the famous man, knowing that this might be the key to enabling him to follow his wishes and become a mathematician himself.

This was especially the case when he agitated for a vote of confidence to be given to Zacharias Frankel after he had left the Frankfurt conference because of the stand which the majority had taken on the question of the Hebrew language.

Meantime his advocacy of Frankel's course had brought him into close contact with the latter, for whose magazine he frequently wrote articles ; and accordingly in 1854 he was appointed a member of the teaching staff of the seminary at Breslau, over which Frankel presided.

Frankel died in London on 12 February 1973 while working on the three-act opera Marching Song and a ninth symphony, which had been commissioned by the BBC.

When he died, Marching Song had been completed in short score ; it was orchestrated by Buxton Orr, a composer who had studied with Frankel and whose advocacy has been at least partly responsible for the revival of interest in his works.

Before that, Frankel needed to find out how far Ghostzapper could actually run, since he had never been further than 7 furlongs.

Frankel, who had been conducting a rehearsal at the time, noticed the ceiling and walls beginning to buckle and heroically led the actors and several residents to safety.

Frankel had two children, Laura Frankel and Ethan Frankel, from his marriage which ended in divorce.
