Topelius became fond with the views from the " Harjula's ridge " and wrote his famous poem A Summer's Day in Kangasala.

In England it took on some characteristics of Beltane, which originated from the pagan celebration of Summer's Day, the beginning of the Summer half-year, in Europe.

The album reviews range from a negative rant from NME-to being hailed as this Summer's good time album-generally the album received favourable reviews.

Summer's mother later recalled that from the time she could talk, Summer would often sing: " She literally loved to sing.

Her priest invited Summer to perform, judging from her small frame and speaking voice that she would be an " amusing spectacle ", but instead Summer's voice recalled a voice older than her years and frame.

In 1993, Polygram issued the two-disc set, The Donna Summer Anthology, which included 34 tracks of all of Summer's material with Casablanca and Mercury while also including songs from her tenures with Atlantic and Geffen.

Ziggy is listed as the featured artist on Donna Summer's song, " Crayons ," the title track from her 2008 album.

The verses ( which were slightly altered ) and the overall sound of the song are from " Bitter Pill ", but added in was the chorus of Donna Summer's " Hot Stuff ".

A Summer's Tale ( 1996 ) has most of the elements of a typical Rohmer film: no soundtrack music, no closeups, a seaside resort, long conversations between beautiful young people ( who are middle class and educated ) and discussions involving the characters ' interests from songwriting to ethnology.

Among the best-known covers are Donna Summer's disco arrangement from 1978 and Waylon Jennings's version recorded in 1969.
