Barney Bubbles ( born Colin Fulcher, 30 July 1942 – 14 November 1983 ) was a radical English graphic artist whose work encompassed graphic design and music video direction.
In May 1965 Fulcher was recruited by The Conran Group as senior graphic designer alongside Stafford Cliff, Virginia Clive-Smith and John Muggeridge.
The name came about when Fulcher was operating a light show that created a bubble effect by mixing oils and water on projection slides.

Fulcher of Chartres ( born around 1059 in or near Chartres ) was a chronicler of the First Crusade, writing in Latin.
Fulcher was part of the entourage of Count Stephen of Blois and Robert of Normandy which made its way through southern France and Italy in 1096, crossing into the Eastern Roman Empire from Bari and arriving in Constantinople in 1097, where they joined with the other armies of the First Crusade.
Fulcher was a resident of Jerusalem until 1127.
At the earliest, Fulcher began his chronicle in the late autumn of 1100, or at the latest in the spring of 1101, in a version that has not survived but which was transmitted to Europe during his lifetime.
This version was completed around 1106 and was used as a source by Guibert of Nogent, a contemporary of Fulcher in Europe.
The third and final book reported on the life of king Baldwin II, until 1127 when there was a plague in Jerusalem, during which Fulcher apparently died.
Writing about the Temple Mount area alone Fulcher of Chartres, who was not an eyewitness to the Jerusalem siege because he had stayed with Baldwin in Edessa at the time, says: " In this temple 10, 000 were killed.
According to Fulcher of Chartres the leaders resolved to maintain the siege until the city was forced into submission.
His 75 max speed and 75 interception skill combination was unmatched, and approached only by David Fulcher and Rod Woodson.
The Gesta was several times rewritten ; in about 1109 by Guibert of Nogent, who added personal information and borrowed from Fulcher and who aimed at a more critical and moral tone ; in about 1110 by Baudri of Bourgueil, Archbishop of Dol, who sought to improve its literary style ; and by Robert of Rheims, whose popular and somewhat romantic version, the Historia Hierosolymitana, appeared in about 1122.
Before he was on television, he played Bob Fossil and was the first choice for the role, however contract limitations between Channel 4 ( Garth Marenghi's Darkplace ) and the BBC ( Mighty Boosh ) saw Rich Fulcher take the role permanently, in The Mighty Boosh stage show.
With Gallagher's retirement in 1982, a the new Bishop George Avis Fulcher was appointed by Pope John Paul II.
