Levan Chilashvili () ( August 17, 1930 – April 26, 2004 ) was a famous Georgian archaeologist and historian, an academician of the Georgian Academy of Sciences ( GAS ), Meritorious Scholar of Georgia, Doctor of Historical Sciences, and Professor.

Shalva Nutsubidze ( December 14, 1888-January 6, 1969 ) was a Georgian philosopher, translator and public benefactor, one of founders of the Tbilisi State University ( TSU ), founder of Alethology, one of founders of the scientific school in the field of history of Georgian philosophy, Academician of the Georgian Academy of Sciences ( GAS ), Meritorious Scientific Worker of Georgia, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor.

Main fields of scientific activity of Shalva Nutsubidze were: alethology, history of Georgian philosophy, history of the old Georgian literature, Rustvelology, problems of the oriental renessance.

Famous Georgian actors Shalva Ghambashidze, Ushangi Chkheidze, Sergo and Bukhuti Zakariadze were also born in Zestafoni.

Shalva Maglakelidze ( also spelled as Maghlakelidze ;,, ) ( 1893 — 1976 ) was a Georgian jurist, politician and military commander.

The Georgian military formations were commanded by Shalva Maglakelidze, Michel-Fridon Zulukidze, Col. Solomon Nicholas Zaldastani and other officers formerly of the Democratic Republic of Georgia ( 1918-21 ).

Nutsubidze was born in 1888, in a small Georgian village Partskhanakanebi ( near Kutaisi, Western Georgia ).

In 1944 Nutsubidze was elected as Academician ( Full Member ) of the Georgian Academy of Sciences ( GAS ).

Nutsubidze is co-author of well-known Theory about identity of Pseudo-Denys Areopagit and Georgian philosopher of the 5th century Peter the Iberian ( Theory of Nutsubidze-Honigmann ).

The mansion was modeled after the Stier family ’ s Belgian home, Chateau du Mick, and when completed in 1807, the building stood as a two-story stuccoed-brick dwelling in the late Georgian style.
