* Neil " Spyder " Giraldo ( incorrectly spelled as " Geraldo " in early liner notes / credits ) is the distinctive lead guitarist of the band and has performed on all of Benatar's albums.

Giraldo performed more than a dozen times on Late Night with Conan O ' Brien, Late Show with David Letterman, and Jimmy Kimmel Live !, and appeared regularly on The Howard Stern Show.

Giraldo also performed at the United States Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as part of a USO tour in 2002.

In June of 2010, Giraldo performed at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee.

True Love was a jump blues record, released in late April 1991, and featured the blues band Roomful of Blues, backing up Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo and Myron Grombacher.

Before becoming a comedian, Giraldo worked as a lawyer, spending eight months as an associate for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom before changing his occupation.

Giraldo stated that at the time of the case, he had never done anything in a courtroom before, and nearly ended up sending Ross to jail, when the case was upgraded to a weapons charge and he had nearly told Ross to plead guilty.

Coincidentally, Mike DeStefano, who was featured in the special and whose Comics Anonymous special had aired 11 days after Giraldo's death, died 12 days before Give It Up For Greg Giraldo aired, also at the age of 44.

The show featured comedians with all ranges of political viewpoints, be they liberal, ( such as Greg Giraldo ), conservative, ( such as Nick DiPaolo ), or moderate, ( such as Jim Norton ).

In October 1980, Benatar ( along with future husband Neil Giraldo ) graced the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

It is also said by Benatar and Giraldo that this album is the first where they moved away from Benatar's famed " hard rock " sound and start experimenting with new, sometimes " gentler ," styles and sounds.

In addition to playing lead guitar, Giraldo is credited with composing and producing much of Benatar's work.

Giraldo was extremely candid about his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, and the challenges of life on the road, stating in 2005: “ I would go on the road and live like a fucking maniac, that ’ s just the way it was.

On September 29, 2010 on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Jon Stewart honored Giraldo by playing a clip of his stand-up, in a one-time segment deemed " Moment of Greg ".

Blues Traveler lead singer, John Popper, who had worked with Giraldo on the TV show Z Rock, dedicated the song " The Mountains Win Again " to him, during the band's concert the evening of September 29th.

* February 20 – Pat Benatar marries her guitarist, Neil Giraldo on the Hawaiian island of Maui.

After a few months, Rick gathered the band together and performed the intro to the Led Zeppelin version of " When the Levee Breaks " to showcase his progress to the band.
