Stealing away when the device was activated, Wreck-Gar found the remains of Bumblebee ( obliterated by Death's Head, a bounty hunter from the future trying to claim a bounty on Galvatron ) and rebuilt him into Goldbug.

He was later reconstructed into a stronger, more mature form as Goldbug.

Goldbug goes on to join several other " future " Autobots in fighting the rogue Decepticon Galvatron before rejoining his present day companions and eventually the other Throttlebots.

Blaster ( himself getting more callous ) is robbed of his ally when Goldbug and the Throttlebots are betrayed by humans and captured by RAAT.

Blaster, Goldbug and the Decepticon Triple Changers had already been infected, with Goldbug searching for a cure ; the Throttlebots reluctantly attempted to kill him until they discovered the Scraplets could be killed with water.

Curing the plague, the Throttlebots joined Blaster and Goldbug on the road, eventually being hunted down by the Autobots ( under Grimlock's command ), the Combaticons and R. A. A. T.

In Transformers: The Headmasters, Goldbug and the Throttlebots were on Cybertron when Vector Sigma began to destabilize as a consequence of Optimus Prime releasing the Matrix's energy to cure the Hate Plague the previous year.

The Decepticons soon invaded the planet in an attempt to take control of the computer, and Goldbug and the Throttlebots joined Grimlock and Slag in holding the line against them.

Later, when the Decepticon Headmasters unleashed the Madmachine upon Cybertron, Goldbug and the Throttlebots helped the Autobot Headmasters battle the villains.

Goldbug and the Throttlebots went up against the Decepticon Headmasters yet again in a later battle on Earth, but pretended to lose so that they would be left free to investigate the Decepticons ' newest weapon: a metal-warping meteror currently on collision course with Athenia.

Goldbug and the Throttlebots teamed up with Fastlane and Cloudraker to investigate the emergence of a " Death Tower " in Santiago, Chile, only to find Predaking there waiting for them.

Goldbug and the Throttlebots were assigned to Orvus Base, orbiting Salvvatan VI, to safeguard top-secret Autobot research.

Sixshot said he would, so Goldbug ordered the Throttlebots to scatter.

The two teams battled, with the Combaticons only withdrawing after the arrival of Circuit Breaker and RAAT, who captured Goldbug and the Throttlebots.

When Blaster and Goldbug went rogue from the new Autobot regime under Grimlock, the Protectobots were dispatched to bring them in.

Thundercracker appears in the 2008 April Fool's comic Shattered Expectations by Fun Publications as part of the Mayhem Suppression Squad called in by the Decepticons against the Autobots Goldbug, Grimlock and Jazz.

Subsequently, Goldbug is part of a combined Autobot-Decepticon force who are deactivated while defending the Earth against the Underbase-powered Starscream.

He is part of the Mayhem Suppression Squad that responds to the Razorclaw's call for help against the Autobots Goldbug, Jazz and Grimlock.
