Simultaneously, the 9th Division entered nearby Guanghua Gate, and the 16th Division entered the Zhongshan and Taiping gates.

The first gate reached by Japanese troops was Guanghua Gate, situated between Zhongshan Gate ( East Gate ) and Zhonghua Gate ( South Gate ).
