The surviving original members of Bill Haley & His Comets have recorded and performed several of Prima's songs since the mid-1990s, most notably " Buona Sera ", which they dedicate to Prima's memory.

Despite not being members of Bill Haley and His Comets, Gussak and Cedrone were trusted session players that Haley had used before.
Although several members of the Comets became famous, Bill Haley remained the star.
The original members of this group were Haley, pianist and accordion player Johnny Grande and steel guitarist Billy Williamson.

Both Rappa and Lane's bands have, from time to time, recruited other former Comets for their line-ups ( for example, in 2005, Rappa joined forces with Joey Welz ), but for the most part the bandleaders are the only regular members who have worked with Bill Haley directly.
