** Hang Tuah ( a Malay warrior )

On 1 March 2012, KL Monorail was integrated with the Ampang Line light rail transit when the " paid-up " or restricted areas of the Hang Tuah monorail and LRT stations, and also at the Titiwangsa monorail and LRT stations, were physically linked up, allowing transfers without the need to buy new tickets for the first time since the system became operational.

The Monorail Line system consists of a single dual-way line that links areas of inner Kuala Lumpur previously not served by rail transport, namely Brickfields, Bukit Bintang and Chow Kit, with pre-existing LRT and / or KTM Komuter stations at KL Sentral, Hang Tuah, Bukit Nanas and Titiwangsa.

The most famous of these was the Melakan admiral Hang Tuah.

In Malaysia today, Hang Tuah is called the " father of silat " which has led to the misconception that he created silat.

However, Hang Tuah is more likely to have been one of the art's disseminators rather than its originator since silat is known to have been practiced long before the founding of Melaka.

The first examples to be recorded appear in the 15th century in the Malay Annals and the Hikayat Hang Tuah.

Beale's fourth bomb set on fire and sank the Indonesian Navy Bathurst class corvette KRI Hang Tuah, killing 18 crew and wounding 28.

Before attacking Hang Tuah, Beale also machine-gunned the oil pipes to Shell's wharf.

She collided with and sank HMS Fittleton in 1976 and was sold to the Royal Malaysian Navy as KD Hang Tuah in 1977 as a training ship.

Men usually wore only one kris but the famous admiral Hang Tuah is said in the Hikayat Hang Tuah to have armed himself with one short and one long kris.

He was defeated in a duel to the death by the Melakan admiral Hang Tuah, after which the king of Majapahit presented the weapon to the victor.

After being framed by a jealous official, Hang Tuah was ordered to be executed, but he managed to escape and go into hiding with the help of a minister who knew the truth.

The desperate ruler of Melaka pardoned the minister so long as Hang Tuah could win him back the throne.

Only after taking his weapon back did Hang Tuah manage to stab Jebat, who died soon after.

Hang Tuah ( Jawi: هڠ تواه ) is the legendary Malay warrior who lived during the reign of Sultan Mansur Shah of the Sultanate of Malacca in the 15th century.

Hang Tuah is held in the highest regard, even in present-day Malaysian Malay culture, and is arguably the most well-known and illustrious warrior figure in Malaysian history and literature.

Hang Tuah's illustrious career as an admiral or laksamana includes tales of his absolute and unfaltering loyalty to his Sultan, some of which are chronicled in Sejarah Melayu ( the semi-historical Malay Annals ) and Hikayat Hang Tuah ( a romantic collection of tales involving Hang Tuah ).

This novel became one of the most popular in New Zealand history, and Crump ’ s success continued with the more fictional Hang on a Minute Mate ( 1961 ), One of Us ( 1962 ), There and Back ( 1963 ), Gulf ( 1964 ), A Good Keen Girl ( 1970 ), Bastards I Have Met ( 1971 ), and others, which capitalized on the appeal of his good-natured itinerant self-sufficient characters and idiomatic “ blokey ” writing style.

Hang Tuah's deep loyalty to and popularity with the Sultan led to rumours being circulated that Hang Tuah was having an illicit affair with one of the Sultan's stewardess dayang.

It remains consistent, however, that Hang Jebat wreaked havoc onto the royal court, and the Sultan was unable to stop him, as none of the Sultan's warriors dared to challenge the more ferocious and skilled Hang Jebat.

Later in his life, as Hang Tuah progressed in his years, the warrior was ordered by the successive Malaccan Sultan to court a legendary princess on the Sultan's behalf.

Being unquestioningly loyal to the Sultan, Hang Tuah obeyed the Sultan's bidding and went on to challenge Hang Jebat.

Despite confessing his love for her, Hang Tuah will not forsake the Sultan's wishes.

The legend goes when Laksamana Hang Nadim was ordered by Malacca King, Sultan Mahmud, to sail to India to buy 140 pieces of serasah cloth ( batik ) with 40 types of flowers depicted on each.

Recently she has been known for her role as Gil Ra Im in Secret Garden ( TV series ) and as North Korean Special forces officer instructor Kim Hang Ah in The King 2 Hearts.

In 2012, she starred as a female North Korean Special forces officer instructor Kim Hang Ah in the TV series The King 2 Hearts co-starring Lee Seung Gi and also starred in the film As One as Hyun Jung-hwa co-starring Bae Doona.
