This in turn led to the building of a deeper water pier a little around the bay at Hawkcraig, and to the development of hotels and many of the other services still on view today in the village.

On the west side of Hawkcraig Point there is a short concrete jetty that was used as part of the development of radio controlled torpedoes during World War One.

The road leading south out of Creal Springs toward Lake of Egypt links into the Wagon Creek Road, which leads to the segment mapped in the original survey.

The Eastham Public Library is located just west of the park, along Samoset Road ( which leads from Route 6 to First Encounter Beach ).

Greylock State Reservation's Visitors ' Center and Rockwell Road, which leads to the Visitors ' Center, ascends from Lanesborough through Cheshire to the summit in Adams.

In the first race, the course took a diversion around Southwark Park before re-joining Jamaica Road on the way to Tower Bridge and was routed through St Katherine Docks past the Tower Hotel, en-route to the Tower of London and the famous cobblestoned stretch of road that in later years was carpeted, to help runners prevent injury on the uneven surface.

The park contains Old Googarna Road past Mount Neville, and the Historic Nightcap Track to Mullumbinmby.

Just past the County Route 551 intersection, the road intersects County Route 628 ( Game Creek Road ), passing by Laytons Lake before crossing over the New Jersey Turnpike.

Most new business development in the past ten years has been along Fieldstown Road ( and Odum Road ) on the west side of the city between I-65 and US 31.

Main roads include San Pablo Dam Road ( a major road running from Richmond and San Pablo, through El Sobrante, past EBMUD's San Pablo Reservoir ), Valley View Road and Appian Way.

Past this intersection, the road continues alongside the wooded Musconetcong River, with residential and commercial development increasing past the Hazen Road intersection.
