Dwelling, in addition to being a term for a house or home for a given period of time, is a philosophical concept which was developed by Martin Heidegger.
It is a term used in early 20th century continental philosophy, especially in the works of Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, and the existentialists.
Heidegger chose this term as a synonym for " human entity " in order to emphasize the critical importance " Being " has for our understanding and interpretation of the world.

When Heidegger and Sartre speak of a contrast between being and existence, they may be right, I don't know, but their language is too philosophical for me.
During this period Husserl had delivered lectures on internal time consciousness, which several decades later his former student Heidegger edited for publication.
In the summer of 1929 Husserl had studied carefully selected writings of Heidegger, coming to the conclusion that on several of their key positions they differed, e. g., Heidegger substituted Dasein for the pure ego, thus transforming phenomenology into an anthropology, a specie of psychologism strongly disfavored by Husserl.
