This is a history of Spain from the earliest times down to 1456, and was printed at Granada in 1545, and also in the Rerum Hispanicarum Scriptores aliquot, by R. Bel ( Frankfort, 1579 ).

On 16 May 1545, Xavier wrote to the King of Portugal to establish the Inquisition in Goa: " The second necessity for the Christians is that Your Majesty establish the Holy Inquisition in Goa because there are many who live according to the Jewish Law and according to the Mohammedan Sect, without any fear of God or shame of the World.

Teresa's foundations, although welcomed by King Philip II of Spain-who was most anxious for all Orders to be reformed according to the principles of the Council of Trent ( 1545 – 1563 )-did create practical problems at grassroots level.

Yi Sun-shin ( April 28, 1545 – December 16, 1598, Korean: 이순신, Hanja: 李舜臣 ) was a Korean naval commander, famed for his victories against the Japanese navy during the Imjin war in the Joseon Dynasty, and is well-respected for his exemplary conduct on and off the battlefield not only by Koreans, but by Japanese Admirals as well.

During the Italian War of 1542, he unsuccessfully besieged Montreuil in 1544, and was Captain General of the Vanguard of the army for the attack on Boulogne in 1545.

Mildmay was elected MP for Lostwithiel in 1545, for Lewes in 1547 and Maldon on 1 March 1553, and then for Peterborough on 5 October 1553.

Richard Knolles ( c. 1545 – July 1610 ) was an English historian, famous for his account of the Ottoman Empire, the first major description in the English language.

After a year of " obligatory regency " ( public lecturing ), Foxe would have been obliged to take holy orders by Michaelmas 1545, and the primary reason for his resignation was probably his opposition to clerical celibacy — which he described in letters to friends as self-castration.
