In May, 1600 Mihai Viteazul ( Michael the Brave ), united the two Romanian principalities and Transylvania under his leadership.

It came to an end with the reign of Michael the Brave ( 1593 – 1601 ) who managed, for a short time in 1600, to rule Wallachia, Moldavia and Transylvania, the three principalities whose territories were to be united some three centuries later to form Romania.

The three principalities were united for several months in 1600 under the authority of Wallachian Prince Michael the Brave.

George Ghica ( or Ghica ,) March 3, 1600 – November 2, 1664 ), founder of the Ghica family, was Prince of Moldavia in 1658-1659 and Prince of Wallachia in 1659 – 1660.

In 1600 he fought against Michael the Brave ( Michal Waleczny, Mihai Viteazul ), hospodar of Wallachia and the new Prince of Transylvania, who had conquered Moldavia a few months earlier.

Mihai used titles of voivode of Wallachia, Transylvania and Moldavia for the first time in May 1600.

In 1476 Wallachia and in 1538 Moldavia came under initially formal Ottoman suzerainty ; however, they preserved their self-rule in all aspects but foreign affairs, except for periods when individual princes defied Ottoman suzerainty and established extensive foreign relations as well — one such rule, that of Michael the Brave, also brought a brief personal union of the Danubian Principalities with each other and with Transylvania in 1600.

Michael the Brave ( or Mihai Bravu, ; 1558 – August 9, 1601 ) was the Prince of Wallachia ( 1593 – 1601 ), of Transylvania ( 1599 – 1600 ), and of Moldavia ( 1600 ).

The term " Unitarian " first appeared as unitaria religio in a document of the Diet of  Lécfalva, Transylvania on 25 October 1600, though it was not widely used in Transylvania until 1638, when the formal recepta Unitaria Religio was published.
