Released in April 1969, was the rock opera Tommy composed by Pete Townshend and performed by The Who.

Focus is a Dutch rock band which was founded by classically trained organist / flautist Thijs van Leer in 1969, and is most famous for the instrumental pieces " Hocus Pocus " and " Sylvia ".

The band performed at the three most famous American rock festivals of the 1960s — Monterey ( 1967 ), Woodstock ( 1969 ) and Altamont ( 1969 )— as well as headlining the first Isle of Wight Festival.
