Michel de Nostredame ( 14 or 21 December 1503 – 2 July 1566 ), usually Latinised as Nostradamus, was a French apothecary and reputed seer who published collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide.

Born on 14, or 21 December 1503 in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in the south of France, where his claimed birthplace still exists, Michel de Nostredame was one of at least nine children of Reynière ( or Renée ) de Saint-Rémy and grain dealer and notary Jaume ( or Jacques ) de Nostredame.

Klaus Emil Julius Fuchs ( 29 December 1911 – 28 January 1988 ) was a German-British theoretical physicist and atomic spy who in 1950 was convicted of supplying information from the American, British and Canadian atomic bomb research ( the Manhattan Project ) to the USSR during and shortly after World War II.

Julius is also credited with setting Jesus ' birthday on 25 December.

On December 9, 1962, a republican constitution was implemented with Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere as Tanganyika's first president.

Hermann Julius Oberth ( 25 June 1894 – 28 December 1989 ) was an Austro-Hungarian-born German physicist and engineer.

The European continental premiere was performed in Düsseldorf, Germany on 7 February 1901, under Julius Buths ( who would also conduct the European premiere of The Dream of Gerontius in December 1901 ).

A post office was established as the Munising post office on December 22, 1868 and renamed as Gogarnville on October 23, 1889, when the office moved to the Gogarn farm with German-born American Civil War veteran and first Munising Township supervisor Julius Gogarn as the postmaster.

The office was transferred and renamed Hallston on December 19, 1888, with railroad agent Julius W. Gogarn as ist first postmaster.

On 7 December 1898, his daughter Ena married Sir George Julius at St John's Church, Fremantle, Western Australia.

Gerhard Heinrich Friedrich Otto Julius Herzberg, ( December 25, 1904 – March 3, 1999 ) was a German-Canadian pioneering physicist and physical chemist, who won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1971, " for his contributions to the knowledge of electronic structure and geometry of molecules, particularly free radicals ".
