AIX Version 1, introduced in 1986 for the IBM 6150 RT workstation, was based on UNIX System V Releases 1 and 2.

Version 4. 1, in a slightly modified form, was also the standard operating system for the Apple Network Server systems sold by Apple Computer to complement the Macintosh line.

In the spirit of ecumenism more recent Catholic translations ( e. g. the New American Bible, Jerusalem Bible, and ecumenical translations used by Catholics, such as the RSV-CE ) use the same " standardized " ( King James Version ) spellings and names as Protestant Bibles ( e. g. 1 Chronicles as opposed to the Douaic 1 Paralipomenon, 1-2 Samuel and 1-2 Kings instead of 1-4 Kings ) in those books which are universally considered canonical, the protocanonicals.

The Common Gateway Interface ( CGI ) is a standard ( see RFC 3875: CGI Version 1. 1 ) method for web server software to delegate the generation of web content to executable files.

Since it was issued in the spring of 1611, the King James Version has been most generally considered the most poetic and beautiful of all translations of the Bible.

This resulted in revisions of the King James Bible in 1881-85 as the English Revised Version and in 1901 as the American Standard Version.

If this new Bible does not increase in significance by repeated readings throughout the years, it will not survive the ages as has the King James Version.

Among other variants, IBM later produced AIX Version 3 ( also known as AIX / 6000 ), based on System V Release 3, for their IBM POWER-based RS / 6000 platform.

AIX Version 4, introduced in 1994, added symmetric multiprocessing with the introduction of the first RS / 6000 SMP servers and continued to evolve through the 1990s, culminating with AIX 4. 3. 3 in 1999.

The King-James-Only Movement — or more correctly, movements, since it has many variations — became a divisive force in fundamentalism only as conservative modern Bible translations, such as the New American Standard Bible ( NASB ) and the New International Version ( NIV ) began to appear in the 1970s.

A more successful " New Version " by Bishop Mark Hildesley ( 1698 – 1772 ) was in use until 1824 when English liturgy became universal on the island.

The " Wang Bi Version " has more verifiable origins than either of the above.

The library's biblical and theological contents were more impressive: Origen's Hexapla and Tetrapla, a copy of the original Hebrew Version of the Gospel of MattitYahu, and many of Origen's own writings.

According to the Christian Business Association, the New International Version has become the most popular selling English translation of the Bible, having sold more than 215 million copies worldwide.

The Douay-Rheims Challoner Bible is still often preferred by more conservative or Traditionalist Catholics, and holds a status in the Catholic world equivalent to that held by the Authorized King James Version in the Protestant world.

Marvin R. Vincent, in particular, objected to what he called the mistaken King James Version translation of κρῖμα in verse 29 as " damnation ", rather more literally as " judgment ".

The King James Version ( 1611 ) and the Challoner Douay Rheims Bible ( 1752 ) prefer the more theological term Charity for the same idea of specifically Christian love.

In North America, MPI Home Video released a series of 20 VHS tapes covering the series: one for each of the 17 episodes and three more containing " The Alternate Version of ' The Chimes of Big Ben '", a documentary and a " best of " retrospective, respectively.

UCSD p-System ( Version IV, supplied by SofTech ) was one of three operating systems ( along with PC-DOS and CP / M-86 ) that IBM offered for its original IBM PC ; but the p-System never sold very well for the IBM PC, mainly because of a lack of applications and because it was more expensive than the other choices.

The expression in the Authorized Version of Book of Joshua 19: 33, " from Allon to Zaanannim ," is more correctly rendered in the Revised Version, " from the oak in Zaanannim.

The name was used in the King James Version of the Bible for the Hebrew word " elah ", a word that more modern translations translate as " terebinth " or " oak – this seems to be the chief source of Web references to the name, but the linden tree does not grow in the middle east where the Bible verses were describing, so it seems unlikely that the KJV translation was correct.

Additionally, over the centuries since the King James Version was produced, more copies of earlier manuscripts of the original texts in the Hebrew and Greek languages have become available.
