Winter's Heart ( abbreviated as WH by fans ) is the ninth book of the Wheel of Time fantasy series written by American author Robert Jordan.

Winter's Heart consists of a prologue and 35 chapters.

Winter's Heart was the first Wheel of Time book for which the prologue, entitled " Snow ", was first sold as an ebook in advance of the physical release of the book.

" Snow " was released by the Scribner imprint of Simon & Schuster in September 2000, two months before the publication of Winter's Heart.

Many of the events of Winter's Heart take place simultaneously with the events of the next book, Crossroads of Twilight.

Later he was in Winter's Bane, with whom he recorded an album called Heart of a Killer in 1993.

Further proof in the books can be seen when Demandred engages Asha ' man Damer Flinn in battle during the Cleansing of saidin in Winter's Heart, Demandred does not recognize Flinn.

It is also noted that Min Farshaw saw an aura around Birgitte Silverbow that showed Birgitte connected to a much younger rather ugly man in Winter's Heart, but Robert Jordan has said that Olver is not Cain, as Olver is too old to be Cain reborn.

He leaves with Mat and the rest of the group in Winter's Heart.

Many of the events of Crossroads of Twilight take place simultaneously with the events of the previous book, Winter's Heart.

By the time of Winter's Heart, the three ta ' veren all run their own major plotlines and campaigns.

In book nine of the series, Winter's Heart, it is mentioned by the Wise One Therava that the tribe of Shaido has 83 septs in total, so the total number of septs in a tribe could be much greater than the number of known septs in a tribe.

Published by Tor Books, this anthology was released on September 15, 1999, between the 1998 publication of The Path of Daggers ( Book 8 of The Wheel of Time ) and 2000 publication of Winter's Heart ( Book 9 ).

In Chapter 35 of Winter's Heart, there are instances of Cyndane's perspective where it states she was more powerful before her encounter with the Aelfinn and Eelfinn, whom Lanfear certainly met if she survived fighting Moiraine through the twisted red door ter ' angreal, and mentions her intent to challenge both the Dark One and the Creator at Rand's side, which Lanfear proposed to him.

Nynaeve helped Rand to cleanse the taint from saidin in Winter's Heart.

This taint ultimately caused all the males who could channel to go permanently insane, until it was cleansed by Rand and Nynaeve al ' Meara in Winter's Heart.
