Charles James Fox PC ( 24 January 1749 – 13 September 1806 ), styled The Honourable from 1762, was a prominent British Whig statesman whose parliamentary career spanned thirty-eight years of the late 18th and early 19th centuries and who was particularly noted for being the arch-rival of William Pitt the Younger.

Jean Étienne Vachier, called Championnet ( 13 April 1762, Alixan, Drôme-9 January 1800 ), French general, enlisted in the army at an early age and served in the Great Siege of Gibraltar.

The death of Nash caused quite a stir at the time, with the celebrated author, Oliver Goldsmith being moved to write The Life of Richard Nash as early as 1762.

Al Minns ' early students formed the basis for the New York Swing Dance Society, established in 1985.

Similar series also included Soul Train ( 1970 – 2006, featuring R & B artists ), Club MTV ( 1986 – 92, featuring Dance Music acts ; hosted by Downtown Julie Brown, an alumnus of TOTP as part of the show's last dance troupe Zoo ) and Solid Gold ( 1980 – 88 ; like the early TOTP, it also used dance troupes ).

They achieved their greatest popularity in the early to mid 1980s with their most successful single, " The Safety Dance ", a Top 10 hit in both the US and the UK, as well as other countries including South Africa.
