In the episode " Stratagem ", Archer learned from Degra that a colony of Primates resides on Azati Prime, where the weapon was being constructed.

" Azati Prime " is the title of an episode from the third season of the television series Star Trek: Enterprise.

The story is a continuation from the previous episode, " Azati Prime.

First introduced in the 1991 Star Trek: The Next Generation episode " The Wounded ", the species originated on the fictional Alpha Quadrant planet Cardassia Prime.

In Star Trek: Enterprise episode 21 of season 4, Trip Tucker uses an advanced screwdriver aesthetically and functionally similar to the Doctor's while held captive by a human xenophobic group called Terra Prime.

The first reference to the Prime Directive occurs in the episode The Return of the Archons.

The Prime Directive is explicitly defined in the Star Trek episode " Bread and Circuses ," which is set in 2267:

Compounding matters is that in the TOS episode " The Omega Glory ," Kirk states, " A star captain's most solemn oath is that he will give his life, even his entire crew, rather than violate the Prime Directive ," and yet he seemingly violates the Prime Directive as " the only way to save my ship " in " A Taste of Armageddon " and no explanation for the Federation Ambassador trying to mediate between Eminiar VII and Vendikar ( neither of which are Federation members ) regardless of their wishes on the matter is given.

While no prosecution for a violation of the Prime Directive was ever seen in a Star Trek episode or film, Picard's nine documented violations are held as evidence against him during a witchhunt investigation in " The Drumhead.
